New York’s population plunged more than any other state in the country over the past year, according to sobering new statistics – as fed-up lawmakers and ex-New Yorkers blame crime and the sky-high cost of living.Almost 102,000 people fled the Empire State from July 2022 to July 2023, the United States Census Bureau revealed in a Tuesday report. It was one of eight states to face a net-decline in residents over the period, while red states, including Texas and Florida, saw the largest growth in population.
Retired NYPD Lt. John Macari, who was born in Brooklyn but high-tailed it to the Sunshine State in 2022, said the once-great state of New York just isn’t a good place to raise a family anymore.“People are getting sick...

The main focus should be on New York County,Westchester County and Nassau County.
“The Great Escape, starring Kathy Hochul: The governor is driving productive New Yorkers out of New York”
A dumbed down population is much easier to control.
RE: The main focus should be on New York County,Westchester County and Nassau County.
These happen to be the two large counties that are FIGHTING against housing illegal immigrants in their communities.
Two generations ago, all those expensive "loft" apartments in what is now called Tribeca were small scale manufacturing not residential.
Hochul to me at least has a German sound to it. :)
“Westchester County and Nassau County”
I would imagine that the motels and hotels in these counties mainly serve the business traveler and would not have much spare capacity.
If we provide busses at the border, we could fix this.
“Governor Kathy Hochul (D., N.Y.) on Tuesday signed a bill that empowers a statewide task force in New York to consider racial reparations for black New Yorkers whose ancestors were once enslaved in the U.S.”
voter base preservation & incitement
I’m not surprised. But the three I mentioned are, unless I’m mistaken, the three richest counties in the state...possibly accounting for a third...or more...of the state’s total wealth.
“New York State counted 21,193 enslaved people in the 1790 population as well as 4,600 free Black people. The number of enslaved people diminishes in succeeding decades due to State legislation “gradually” emancipating people...”
“By 1830 there were 75 remaining enslaved people in New York State and by 1840, there were four.”

I’m going to really enjoy watching this from afar.

and taxed out of their homes.
A federal Constitutional property tax cap would get a lot of support in the Northeastern US.
“...whose ancestors were once enslaved in the U.S”
This will be great. All the blacks who don’t qualify will go ballistic. The “reparations receivers” will be showing off in lowrider Caddy’s and the rest will be rioting and looting.
No reparations for families of Union Soldiers that were killed, wounded, or suffered in other ways in order to free the slaves?
The smarmy self aggrandizing Twixxes that Princess Kathy deftly dumps on the sorry Citizens of GnuYak are nauseating.
Looks like there’s no problem about being productive.
Note: the concerned young woman helping a homeless man actually represents sincere, honest charity Judaism and Christianity support.
We become jaded because of our forced government taxation to let them re-distribute the money to the right voting blocs.
“I gave at the office” in paycheck deductions.
And stories of “I saw the man and his friend go into the men’s room where I was and the beggar changed into good quality clothes and they left. It was obviously a daily scam.” That other article said the phony beggar made $200 or more on some afternoons. Nice work.
NY State has become 1975 East Germany.
One-party state, controlled from elsewhere. High taxes, marxist ideology. Has one industry - government (OK, and wall street) that supports life in the Capital. Everyone else is getting poorer. Lots of snow. People wanting freedom flee West and South
Another side to this is that high NY taxes are discouraging major sports stars to sign with NY teams.
HOW many House seats will they lose???
