Why people would rather take pills with unknown side effects is a mystery (well, not really...humans are pigs).
There is no magic pill that allows the gluttons to continue eating the same volume of food and still loose weight.
A friend once tried to start a weight loss company. You stay onsite and only eat what is served. Guaranteed to loose weight.
I think his naming it Death Camp Diet marked it for failure.
Keto spiked my cholesterol levels like nothing before or since. I couldn’t believe what 3 months of it did to my bloodwork.
I'm one of those "humans".
The unknown side effects of the injectable med is, IMO, worth risking vs the known effects that being overweight was causing. This conclusion was reached under the advisement of a 30+ year RN I keep on hand (SO).
Started with Keto to get things rolling and now easing back into something of a more "normal", but still carb conscience diet. Down 40#s and still going.
A lot of people have things they should "just stop" doing but won't.
A lot of people on the net live idyllic lives but they're extremely elusive in realtime.
Careful with those rocks.
The education system failed us all. The ‘food pyramid’ was upside down. Carbs and sugar with little exercise is dangerous. People are addicted to them...easier to take a pill. The lack of educating people is deliberate.
At least in most other countries you walk a tremendous amount. Here things are so spread out we just drive everywhere. Carbs, sugar, sit. Rinse repeat - no wonder this is happening.
