The 15 members of the United Nations Security Council are expected to vote on a resolution Friday addressing the humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip after a week of intense negotiations to bring the U.S. on board.
“We have worked hard and diligently over the course of the past week with the Emiratis, with others, with Egypt, to come up with a resolution that we can support,” U.S. Ambassador to the U.N. Linda Thomas-Greenfield told reporters Thursday evening.
Thomas-Greenfield did not say whether she would vote in favor of the resolution or abstain, but signaled that the U.S. would not use its veto power as it did on a resolution proposed Dec. 8 that demanded an immediate humanitarian cease-fire.

Vote for ham ass to bring the food they stole up from the tunnels.
Oh no, they’re going to vote on a ...resolution. Israel is quaking in its boots.
How about a resolution that Hamasses surrender yesterday and end the carnage instantly?
By now, all the non-complicit Gazans should all be living in Cairo.
Biden administration about to sell out.
Initially Hamas itself was rejecting the ceasefire unless it was made permanent though they may have since relented. At the moment it’s the Houthis causing major problems shutting down shipping in the Red Sea. They are hoping to break Israel economically and are having a major effect in that area. Some shippers are even avoiding the other Israeli ports in the Mediterranean for fear their ships will be attacked and insurance is through the roof. So far the US hasn’t done much against the Houthis for fear of having this war go regional.
Netanyahu seems to want it to go regional so that the US takes out Iran. Netanyahu doesn’t seem to understand that if this war goes regional it could very well be the end of Israel. I don’t think most posters on this forum have any idea of the complexities involved here and the dire straits Israel is in. It’s much worse than they are letting on.
I have a serious question for anyone with a serious answer
USA gives billions of dollars to the UN in a yearly basis
is there any legal obligation to keep the UN alive ?
USA can use the yearly billions of dollars to help American cities which are in distress
Seriously, why can we not shut this down? What is the reason for the UN ?
U.N. is voting on something? 99% chance it’s another diss of Israel. U.N. can drop dead. We need to leave that money-sucking hive of asps and kick them out of our country.
