Hi lysie, and Happy New Year!
Lysie, don’t worry about bacon this morning for exit. He asked me to let you know that he will be served his breakfast this morning elsewhere. He didn’t want anyone knowing where he wound up, but let’s just say they’ll be sliding his breakfast underneath the bars for him.
He was doing ok until he got into the tequila....you know the kind that makes your clothes fall off? Well, after a few rounds of that, he and norsky had a limbo contest. Norsky is still on the floor somewhere - he lost. Exit then tried to master pole dancing. Well, it wasn’t pretty. He got into a fight with the pole, and he lost. He went a little berserk, Spunky had to call in the po-po, and they threw the book at exit. We didn’t have the bail money because exit spent it on his refreshments. Mrs. exit may bail him out later today....or she may take a few days....up to her.
So, we’re off to a rousing start for the new year. It’s all Spunky’s fault. She got us partying when it’s well known that we’re too old for that stuff.
Happy New Year lysie!
Good morning Freee-dame and Happy New Year.
Flea bag hotel… that is why I loved n still love the mentality of my van to travel n sleep in
Yes, mam,
It’s MAM!
First thing: REST!!!! Even if you cannot sleep, sit down, put your feet higher than your hips and rest. Close your eyes. Try not to think. If you must think, imagine a calm, peaceful scene where all is tranquil and harmony.
Second: Think through your options.
Third: REST!!! See first thing for reference. Don’t hurry through the resting part. It should take at least 12 hours each time.
Fourth: Think through your options again, but this time, slow your thinking and try to envision how to make these work.
Sixth: REST!!! Do nothing. It is often when we’re passive and letting your mind settle that avenues become apparent to you.
Finally, throughout this process, pray for the Holy Spirit to guide you. Find a Bible and read through the book of John and Philippians.
We have no answers ourselves. But we can intercede in prayer on your behalf. That we are doing.
I am watching the news concerning the earthquake swarm in Japan. Very serious. This is not a good way to start off 2024.
Where were Exit82 and Norsky? And, we don’t REALLY know where freepersup is.
Keep us in your loop sweetheart. Be safe and be happy. Do I sound like your mama be🤣

Good morning and Happy New Year to you, lysie!
Wow—what a way to start the New Year!
Thanks for all the grub. With BACON right in the front, no less!
Thank you!
That Judy!
What an imagination!
Let me tell you what really happened last night.
Judy said she was bored on the farm, so I told her Mrs. exit82 and I would swing by and take her out.
We had a nice meal, and started walking around the town afterwards.
We passed a place that, well, was hardly reputable, the kind where sailors frequent.
They had a dance contest going on, and the copious amounts of wine Judy imbibed during dinner finally hit.
She ran in there, and we had to follow.
There were a lot of limber young women in there on different platforms, doing all kinds of gyrations, to the delight of the sailors and the other men there.
Then Judy yelled out something like “You young uns don’t know how to dance! Let me show you how it’s REALLY done!”
I looked at Mrs. exit82 and said “We’re in trouble now.”
Judy got right up there and started making moves that made the sailors blush. The other women were clapping and egging her on.
Then people were coming in off the street and the place was jammed. They played one dance tune from the 70s after another, and Judy didn’t stop.
All I remember is that once the clothes started flying off, the Shore Patrol showed up.
Judy invited the Shore Patrol up on stage and they tried to stop her. That is when the massive brawl started.
Sailors from multiple countries were defending her honor.
The place got trashed and police from surrounding towns and counties were mobilized to end the mayhem.
Mrs.exit82 threw her coat on Judy and we whisked her out the back door.
Unfortunately, we weren’t fast like we were in our 20s and the local gendarmes nabbed us.
They put Judy in the holding tank, while Mrs.exit82 and I did some fast talking with the desk sergeant at the police station. We convinced him that Judy was NOT the woman up on stage. After all, how logical is it that a mature woman could dance on the pole like that and put girls 50 years her junior to shame?
I wasn’t sure that I was convincing enough, then Mrs. exit82 batted her baby blues at the sergeant and told him what a hunk he was, and what would happen if she was 40 years younger, and that did the trick.
So the bail money is still intact. Judy is back on the farm sleeping it off.
She will have her own version of events, but don’t you believe it. It is all on my cell phone. Receipts!
Let’s put it this way—I will be staying home next New Year’s Eve.
Oh, and when she wakes up, I will give her the phone number for the chief petty officer of the USS Breckinridge. The entire crew wants her to be the entertainment at Fleet Week in NYC in June.He said something about having a reinforced pole installed on board, but who knows what that means.
Going out with Judy means never having a dull moment.
Hope her hangover is not too severe.
Spunky, meant to copy you on post #1695.
What really happened last night.
Happy New Year to you!
HAHAHAHAHAHA. HAHAHAHAHA.
I choose weekly ping.
Happy New Year!
What a fabulous breakfast spread… a great way to start a new year.
Sadly, I fear you are correct about the future of us, 45, and USA. Most years on Jan. 1 I’m hopeful, but not so much this year.
Trying to remember: 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
16 Rejoice evermore. 17 Pray without ceasing. 18 In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.
