A Brookline teen was severely injured after he had “magic mushrooms” and jumped from a sixth-story window, according to police who arrested a drug dealer accused of targeting local kids.
Brookline Police are now warning parents after this incident and the arrest of a 22-year-old man in Brookline Village.
Based on a tip, Brookline detectives began investigating a suspected drug dealer who goes by the name Niko. He was allegedly selling drugs to underage teens.
Some of the products were purchased at local marijuana dispensaries, where Niko allegedly bought the products that are legal for those 21-plus.
Many students at Brookline High School have reportedly been caught with items that Niko sold.
“One particular minor suffered severe physical injuries after ingesting magic mushrooms allegedly bought from Niko,” police said in a statement.
“These psychedelic mushrooms are suspected to have caused this minor to become so disoriented that he jumped from a sixth story window,” police added.
The teen is a Brookline resident who does not go to Brookline High School.
Magic mushrooms are not legal in Massachusetts, but there’s a movement to legalize them in the Bay State.
“Niko is suspected of having many teen customers, although there is no way to know exactly how many he has had over the past several years,” police said.
“Many kids unwitting victims of his harmful chemicals and toxins,” police added. “So, if you see some of these items in your teen’s room, don’t dismiss it as typical harmless pocket junk. Pay attention, and protect your kids from harmful substances."
And he magically mushroomed.

I was going to post here that Art Linkletter’s daughter Diane died October 4, 1969 from a fall from a6 story building.

Quality of life is measured via living space, access to calories and access to medical care. The US poverty lives in 50% more space than avg Euro,, has access to cheaper calories and receives free state of the art medical. They live better than the Euro working class.
We can buy ten kinds of almost anything fr the grocer incl just abt everything in an UK grocer at lower prices.
The US invented the multi billion dollar agritech industry which has just abt eliminated famine on earth.
I have a half dozen English pubs within an hour that serve better food at lower prices than any pub that we’ve eaten at in London.
That’s not unique-I get better paella here than in Barcelona.
We can walk into a steak house, order their avg cut and it’s better than the vast majority of beef in all of Europe at a lesser price.
UK food varies between awful and bad-to the point we’d bring food with us.
This take was about as far off base as possible. The spoiled entitlement of the nodding along ignorant hate America crowd would be notable except that is the new norm.
The nation that largely ended famine, providing cheap accessible food to the world incl insane selection to it’s own citizens does not lag the UK in just abt anything-food being a particularly poor choice.
