But he picked Mike Pence and people went along with that. Is Haley really worse than Pence?

The country’s in a different place now. In 2016, Trump likely felt he needed someone who could help him find common ground with the establishment. He was learning the lay of the land and had a Paul Ryan led House he had to deal with.

In Trump’s first term the establishment demonstrated that they were unwilling to work with him. On the contrary, they viewed him as a greater threat than they did, the Democrats. Lesson learned, and Trump is in a stronger position now than he was in 2016. The establishment are not as strong as they were, and the people support Trump to a greater degree now than they did then, so he has less need to work with the establishment and less need to accept one of their own as his running mate.

For some reason, I don’t think President Trump picked Pence. Pence may have been picked for him.

I will repeat

Trump is not going to hire any ‘keep your enemies close” hires his next time in the White House

Now. Tucker did not say what the headline says he said. To begin with

Pence- you do not know why Trumpp hired pence but pence was an enemy.

Haley will it be considered because in his second term Trump will not have to surround himself with democrats who call themselves republicans

He won’t be wiring on getting elected for another term.
