Leroy G. Walker Sr. (R), is a city council member in Auburn, Maine, and he wants to see limits on firearms which can “rapidly fire.”
Bangor Daily News (BDN) reported Walker’s son was killed in the October 25, 2023, Lewiston attacks in which the gunman allegedly used an AR-10 and an AR-15. An AR-10 is traditionally chambered in .308 and an AR-15 in 5.56.
Since the attack, Walker has pointed the finger at Republicans who have long opposed additional gun controls, claiming they are “prolonging what needs to be done to slow these weapons down.”

Joseph's father, Leroy Walker, echoed the sentiments of his grandson, calling
Joseph "a great son" and telling CBS 13 that his son "tried to save some more
lives, and he ended up losing life."
On his son losing his life to a rabid gunman:
Leroy doesn't hate the shooter, he hates the inanimate gun, animated by the
shooter.
So the guns killed his son all by themselves? No humans involved? Amazing!
Try gun laws out in Chicago first to test how effective they are.
There is only one reason a politician would take that position.
Nope.
They don't want us to have any weapons. They don't want us to have anything that could be used as a weapon. They don't want us to even be able to think about forcibly refusing their orders.
You can easily guess why that is so.
I think the military rule for flintlock muzzle loaders was you had to load and fire 15 rounds in three and three quarters minute.
I seen OLD Winchester74 and Remington nylon 22 rifles that can shoot as fast as you can pull the trigger.
And I still get a thrill out of a Remington Model 8 made in 1906. Enough to make an anti-gun radical lose bladder control!

Is Leroy going to be the first to stack up at people’s doors?
Maine has RCV for a reason...
My oldest son still has quite a number of baseball bats he used to swing when he played minor league baseball several years ago. I guess they could be termed “assault bats” now.
What about knives that can “rapidly stab”?
I once though that way, but no longer. I have lost all sympathy for the gun-control poster children in whatever form they are presented and promoted. They expect immunity from all criticism or opposition in the name of "understanding and compassion".
No deal.
There were few mass murders before the 1970s when the mental hospitals were closed and the inmates dumped on the streets. Semi-auto rifles have been around since 1903.
The news, movies and TV then popularized the semi-auto rifle beginning at that time as the perfect weapon for such things, and the mentally ill get their ideas from watching TV.
So back to muzzle loaders?
lol. I need more range time, more practice with the old .54
A rifle I couldn’t own in California because it’s .50 caliber.
Don't laugh too hard. That is coming. In Britain, there are serious moves to ban kitchen knives or any other cutlery with sharp points. I would not be surprised to see legislation restricting the possession of baseball bats and flag poles.
It's a matter of "public safety". For the authorities, not for you.
Elites in every country want their populations disarmed and without access to anything that might be used as a weapon. That is because they are already doing things to their subjects for which their subjects should probably kill them.
How about limiting Politicians attacking everyone’s Constitutional Rights. They’re more dangerous than an inanimate object.
Im sure they’ll enforce that on their resident Jihadists.
Don’t fall for misdirection . While they are talking about guns they are actually working to make ammo as scarce as possible. That’s the obvious play.
