How is removing an historic monument considered preservation?????
Whether you like it or not doesn’t remove it’s historical significance....
That monument is an important symbol of Reconstruction and the re-unification of the country.
Democraps are all about division and dis-unity. Of course they want it removed.

The idea is to blot out all traces of the history you refer to and replace it.
And make no mistake......the holy grail of wiping out history to the people doing this is none other than the U.S. Constitution
I think because they have been ordered to remove it but it already has a home in a confederate memorial in the state of Virginia so it is not turning into woke scrap metal. I think they may be moving the artist’s body with the statue but I don’t remember if that portion is happening.
Also the relevance as to why the statue was made will be lost as made for reconciliation of the war and both confederate and union dead were buried in the same cemetery. That will be diminished with moving the statue.
