Lawyer who has advised foreign secretary says Israel has the capacity, but not the will, to relocate even one settler
Nearly 200,000 of the 700,000 Israeli settlers in the West Bank would have to be relocated to Israel to create a viable Palestinian state, according to an Israeli lawyer from whom the UK foreign secretary, Lord Cameron, has sought advice on his visits to Israel.
Cameron has said he realises reaching a two-state solution would be tough, but he has not spelled out the practical consequences in terms of borders, including the need to persuade so many Israelis to relocate.
Cameron acknowledged his debt to Daniel Seidemann in giving evidence to a Lords select committee last week, saying he always seeks his advice when he visits Jerusalem.
In an interview with the Guardian, Seidemann said: “If Israel has the will, or capacity, to relocate 200,000 settlers from the West Bank and Jerusalem, a two-state solution is a viable option. If it does not have the will, the two-state solution is dead. The number might be better than most people think, but it is quite daunting.

Chasing Gazans into the sea wouldn’t require any relocation.
Plus, it’s far easier to administer one state than two.
If Arabs are relocated, the U.S. will foot the bill.
If (yet another) war breaks out, the U.S. will foot the bill.
If there are refugees, the U.S. will foot the bill.
If the status quo is maintained, the U.S. will foot the bill.
It seems to me, and I am completely unsure, that the settlers would have moved there knowing that at some point they might need to relocate?
On the other hand, it also seems as if they are there as a type of buffer zone, so they are incurring risk just by being there.
Well, the point is moot, in my opinion, because I do not believe the so-called Palestinians will ever agree, because then they will have surrendered: if they were to continue to do stuff like shoot rockets into Israel, they would be judged as a nation committing an act of war.
So I do not think they will ever agree.
Israel should insist on the original two state solution for the Palestine Mandate: the Jews in the new nation of Jordan had to move to Israel and the Arabs in the new nation of Israel were supposed to have to move to Jordan. That didn’t happen. Because it didn’t Israel has been in a mess since.
The Izzys gave Gaza to the Palestinians lock stock and barrel. They even dug up the bodies of Jewish corpses in Gaza so they would not offend and defile the Pallys with their presence.
They gave the miracle Greenhouses that fed the Middle East to the residents of Gaza which the Gazans looted and destroyed.
As soon as the Israelis gave the Gazans the keys to the city they began the fortifications which the IDF is now dismantling
70% of the Gazans support the Hamas atrocities of October 7 and still feel that Israel needs to be from the river to the sea’ed.
Anyone who thinks there can be a peaceful two state solution to the is conflict is delusional and in complete denial of past history and current reality .
“From the River to the Sea” there are only two solutions — an all Muslim state or an all Jewish state.
By far the most likely outcome is the all Jewish state.
It will be supported by very few nations and opposed by most.
The filth need a bath anyway!
Likud are firmly against a two state solution
“between the Sea and the Jordan there will only be Israeli sovereignty.”
From the river to the med, all ham ass should be dead!
Two state 🐂💨💩! Just like demo commies making deals. Everything agreed to until the close the the wants and needs change. In their favor.
🙏🇺🇸🇮🇱👍

The settlers are intending to create irreversible facts on the ground.
Don’t they get it.
The Jordanians and Arabs claiming to be a nonexistent people group do not want a two state solution.
They have been offered everything they’ve asked for and then refused to accept any of it.
Even in their own words that they do not want a two state solution, the folks in the western nations are deaf as a post.
Why don’t t ANY of the Arab/Muslim nations want their “brothers” with in their borders??? Because they are trouble makers, prime example, Lebanon, and Beirut, they started the civil war there.
Jordan was, in fact, created for the Arabs, it did not include the “West Bank”
The West Bank belongs to Israel as well as the Golan Heights, and Gaza, and the Sinai peninsula. These areas were occupied by the Arabs, Egyptians and Syrians after the 48-49 war. Judea &Samaria belong to Israel.
Gaza belongs to Israel.
That is the historical and even recent historical facts.
The Israelites living in those areas stay, the hostile Arabs must go.
2 state solution:
would recreate another Hamas.
But not to worry - the Palie animals have rejected that idea 2X.
Thousands of Israelis were displaced out of the Gaza when it was turned over to Satan’s monsters.
‘Eff the palis. They want a “final solution,” not a two-state solution.
Israel needs to APPROVE MORE WEST BANK SETTLEMENTS, not think about moving existing settlers out. Just IMHO, of course.
There’s already a separate Arab state that was created out of the British Mandate - it’s called “Jordan” and it comprised about 7/8 of the land area of the Mandate. Any further division of the Jewish/Israeli side of that equation would be an even further cheating of the Jews/Israelis.
As for the viability of a 2nd state within the current borders of Israel - that is absurd, as such a state would be dedicated to the destruction of Israel itself, and the murder of as many of its citizens as possible. That’s simply a non-starter.
Oh, and haven’t the Brits f’ed up that part of the world enough? Shouldn’t they simply stay out?
Jews need to “go by the book”. God told them to kill all of the people living in Canaan except their own. The Jews need to reread their Torah and the books of Moses and redirect their priorities and ignore what the world that wishes them dead thinks.
There is a viable Palestinian state - Jordan.
The thing is Jordan’s rulers do not want the politics of the folks in the West Bank. They - Jordan - had the West Bank from 1948 to 1967, and it was a thorn in their side, resulting at one point in a civil war against the Jordian authorities - led by Arafat (2970-71), which got Arafat’s followers expelled to Lebanon, where they later became one of the causes of the civil war in Lebanon.
The whole mess was created by the Arabs rejection of the two state solution (accepted by Israel) in 1948 (the Arabs did not want peace with an indpendent Israel then, and the Arabs drive by one means or another to destroy Israel ever since 1948. Had the Arabs at any time made peace with Israel more important than anything else, they could have had it. But they never have.
