Charges have been brought against a man accused of attacking an elderly Jewish couple on their way to synagogue in Beverly Hills.
Jarris Jay Silagi, 44, was charged by the Los Angeles County District Attorney with one count attempted second-degree robbery; one count elder or dependent adult abuse, infliction of injury; one count assault with a deadly weapon; and two counts assault by means of force likely to produce great bodily injury. It is further alleged that Silagi caused great bodily injury during the commission of the crime.
The incident occurred on Saturday morning, December 9 at 9:03 am, according to the Beverly Hills Police Department. A 75-year-old man wearing a yarmulke was walking with his wife to synagogue in the area of North Rexford Drive and North Santa Monica Blvd. Silagi allegedly came up from behind and struck the man with a belt, cutting his head and causing bleeding. According to the man's son in a post on social media, Jarris then said, "Give me your earrings, Jew," to the wife...
DA George Gascon stated publicly that "Such acts of Antisemitism have no place in our community, and we continue to be committed to ensuring justice prevails and holding the defendant accountable. Our thoughts are with the victims and all those who continue to be targeted for their faith. My office's Hate Crimes Unit will work diligently to bring justice to the victims."...
Silagi has reportedly been arrested 20 times prior to this incident with dates going back as far as 2009. Gascon has requested Silagi be held on $1,310,000 bail. If sentenced as charged, he could face a maximum sentence of life in prison.
Gascon is known for opposing cash bail and for giving offenders diversion and light sentences, all of which he has stated reduce crime.

That this guy was still walking around loose demonstrates the massive failure of the justice system in LA to protect the citizenry from violent criminals..
Many blacks hate Jews not all but a big chunk of them do
So it’s not a hate crime.
So it’s not a hate crime.
> Gascon has requested Silagi be held on $1,310,000 bail. <
Gascon is one of the worst DAs in the country. So I wonder what’s going on here. Did he mean $13.10, and he just typed it in wrong? Or did Gascon receive a phone call that got his mind right?
So many possibilities.
Gascon is up for re-election this year and he's not polling well. It's not a good time for him to offend Los Angeles's many wealthy Jewish donors.
This black man would have been wise to focus his attacks on white gentiles. Or even on Latinos or Asians.
Great news!
Just another brother of Obeyme.
democRATS...
Someone with a track record like Silagi should be held out of society for a very long time, not released so many times. It’s disgusting. That couple would not have been attacked if he were behind bars where he belongs.
Gavin gave him a call. He probably said don’t even think of letting this guy off with no bail and a suspended sentence.
Gavin’s got donors for his 2024 run to think about ya know.
uh, wrong on the Latino part. Ask the black folk who USED to live in Compton what happens to blacks who bother “Latinos”. Hahahahahahha
I’m sorry, it not Compton but northern Tijuana now. Cuz fun fact, Mexicans…… real Mexicans, are more racist that the klan or the Waffen SS and they really don’t mind showing anyone interested what Spanish and Aztec culture breeds when it comes to gang killing. There are no civilians. Women, children and old people are just easier targets for the family of their “enemies”.
”Big boy rules”.
“ Gascon has requested Silagi be held on $1,310,000 bail. If sentenced as charged, he could face a maximum sentence of life in prison.”
But the actual sentence will be probation with a sternly worded warning not to do that again.
How many blacks are behind Farrakhan?
Then add the other splinter groups, most BLM.
Grand total is?
What ever happened to 3 strikes and you’re out? Silagi has 20 strikes. Something is wrong with our “justice” system.
