To anyone unfamiliar with Greenwich: it's a fantastically wealthy suburb of NYC where Bentleys outnumber Toyotas. Republicans in a town like that would have to be considered to be country club Republicans.

I believe Greenwich was Lowell Weicker’s hometown.

“Not buying that they aren’t RINOs.”
Look at the voting records for Trump judges in the US Senate and compare RINOs to Democrats.
...and then get back to us.

Weicker may have been the last decent Governor of the state, pubbies and democrats. Even then the tide was turning toward full on woke politics throughout the state.

My dad thought he had redeeming qualities but he definitely had issues. Dad kept the campaign t-shirt for years but that was the last campaign he supported.

Nothing about your statement about “Trump’s judges” (a meaningless term) answers my concern.

Similar methods were used by the Republican Party of Florida beginning with the election of a new chairman in 1995. The result was to tip the state legislature, the Governorship, both US Senate seats, and a majority of the US House seats into GOP hands.

Florida came close to getting a charismatic misfit for Governor.

Weicker was a hideous mass of excrement who used to let Teddy Kennedy vote for him in the Senate while he went scuba diving in Cuba.

You are referring to the Democratic nominee for Florida Governor in 2018, Andrew Gillum, a former Mayor of Tallahassee. A civic-minded retired GM engineer whom I knew -- Eugene Danaher -- had a key role in exposing corruption in the City of Tallahassee by filing a series of ethics complaints. That sparked ethics investigations, local reporting, and eventually the attention of the FBI.
Several local Democratic politicians and businessmen were eventually prosecuted and convicted by the federal government, but Gillum got a hung jury. Fortunately, just enough of the story got out in time for the 2018 campaign that Gillum lost in spite of a relatively weak campaign by DeSantis.

Any good news or effective political strategy will be bitterly opposed by brainwashed neurotics who infest the Republican party.
