Los Angeles District Attorney George Gascón has promoted a former public defender to his chief of staff who has called the Los Angeles Police Department "barbarians."
Tiffiny Blacknell, who has served in the district attorney's office as a grade 4 prosecutor, special advisor, and chief of communications, was promoted to be Gascón's chief of staff on Friday, multiple sources tell Fox News. Her new role will begin Jan. 16.
During the protests following George Floyd's death, Blacknell made a post on X referring to the Los Angeles Police Department as "barbarians," and "an occupying army," and used the "#DefundPolice" hashtag.
In a previous post on X, she also said that "prison is obsolete," calling on Americans to "reimagine America without it."
"Angela Davis said it years ago. Prisons disappear problems, they don’t solve them," she wrote. "We’ve been warehousing people for a generation it's time to free America."

Sadly, he’s not alone. There are literally hundreds of stories and video showing LAPD acting like barbarians and acting like an oppressive occupying army.

The problem is, the criminals are even worse than the cops. You need a criminal to suppress criminals. You need brutal police in order to brutalize brutal criminals. Minority criminals in particular are so bad that intense violence is the only way to keep them in check.
“Tiffiny” is an affirmative action moron with zero understanding of law yet somehow is a prosecutor. The stupid wench can’t even spell the name Tiffany yet somehow went to law school. Ghetto type, admitted to education above her intelligence. She is young, inexperienced, low-class, ignorant and completely unqualified. She is no different intellectually than my produce grocery clerk or the guy who pumps my gas.
The belief in this myth equality has already destroyed society. It’s too late - the stupid and weak are in charge and the criminals rule the street. Conservatives are as much to blame as the left - you guys also believe in “equality”, “equal opportunity”, governemnt regulation, taxation and the legitimacy of government.

I’ll tell you that nothing makes you hate bad cops more effectively than meeting good cops.
In Cody, Wyoming if a cop stops me to ask me about the .45 I carry it’s because he’s interested in what loadout I prefer, how do I like my holster, and how easy it is to clean my pistol.
In California if they ask you that question then even if you have a permit to carry you can expect them to draw their weapons and aim them at you, demand that you get on the ground, handcuff you ‘for officer safety’, and then arrest you anyway after they find out you were legal.
More like LAPD was so eager to hire another Hispanic officer that they were less than meticulous on their screening process.
