Dr Offit isn’t some rando. Offit is a member of the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Vaccines and Related Biological Products Advisory Committee and is a member of the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices. Along with his colleagues Fred Clark and Stanley Plotkin, Offit invented RotaTeq, a pentavalent rotavirus vaccine manufactured by Merck & Co. Since 2006, RotaTeq has been one of two vaccines currently used against rotavirus. Offit defines alternative medicine as quackery, had become a leading advocate of childhood immunizations. rejects any role vaccines have in causing autism (he received a death threat and received protection by an armed guard during meetings at the CDC), and finally Offit advocates for the repeal of religious exemptions to vaccine requirements, saying that such exemptions amount to medical neglect.
The guys is a ghoul.
He is also a liar of the highest order. His quote “ the goal of this vaccine is to keep people out of the hospital, keep them out of the intensive care unit and keep them from dying. That's the goal. That was always the stated goal. It remains the goal.” is patently false.
As a matter of law and language, these shots have ONE objective: PREVENTION. This is where words become REALLY important. In the US, the basis of approval EUA and the only "approved" Vaccine, was for PREVENTION...NOT for decreased severity. Indeed, look at the actual FDA and Pfizer-BioNTech info.

Clearly, the vaccine is for PREVENTION. Nothing else. All of the clinical trials (limited as they were) and statistical confidence intervals were focused on VE with regard to PREVENTION...not hospitalization, not ER visits, not fatalies, and not symptoms.
