Constitutional law expert Alan Dershowitz told Newsmax on Thursday that the Jan. 6 case the Supreme Court has agreed to take up "probably" applies to former President Donald Trump, in addition to a number of other Jan. 6 defendants, including his client.
"Look, these were not obstructions of justice," Dershowitz said during an appearance on "National Report." "These were attempts to exercise First Amendment rights to petition the government for a redress of grievances. Some of the people went too far and destroyed property, but those people who just tried to influence the congressional hearings were exercising their constitutional right.

Defendant Joseph Fischer, who was indicted on seven charges following the Jan. 6 protest, is 1 of at least 325 people facing that charge for their alleged roles in the incident. The charge has also been brought against Trump in the federal case charging him with trying to overturn the 2020 election results.

The person who belongs in jail for J6 is Nancy Pelosi.
Trump did not try to overturn an election, he tried to expose a fraudulent election.
Which had so much evidence that it’s astonishing how little media coverage it’s got. This proves the media is 100% liberal hacks
my prediction is, the next Republican president will not only pardon nearly all the J6 people, he will also pay them out millions in restitution.
And as for convictions/guilty pleas that have already occurred...review the videos for evidence of reasonable,responsible behavior...the person walking calmly through roped "pathways" and people being calmly waved in by Capitol Police for example.

That all depends on who that person is. When our SOTH says he’s a “Christian with a Biblical world view”, and then cavorts and consults with Paul Ryan for a day, I don’t hold out much hope for any Republican doing the right thing. Except Trump.

What’s wrong with trying to right a wrong? We feel cheated and wronged and want answers. Not one bit of evidence has been presented to back the dems claims that this election was fair and no cheating happened.
After Trump wins, he should put the word out that the Jan 6 political prisoners should file a class action lawsuit against the DOJ.
Then Trump should force the DOJ to admit its culpability and offer a GENEROUS cash settlement to all those who were unjustly charged with crimes and/or imprisoned.
Then Trump should use the DOJ’s admission which he forced them to issue as grounds to go in there and clean out the DOJ and FIB with a flamethrower.
IIRC the charge of “obstructing an official proceeding” was never meant to apply the way they’re applying it. It was meant for stuff like withholding documents from an investigatory committee. The J6 prosecutors have stretched its meaning way beyond the original intent. I wonder if SCOTUS might consider it from this angle.
The jail staff and dem politicians should have to draw straws to see who gets executed to pay for that terribly sad outcome.

The opening of the investigation follows news reports and accusations from lawmakers that USCP has overstepped its bounds as it tries to recover from the January 6 riots that tarnished both the Capitol and the reputation of the law enforcement agency that was supposed to keep it safe.
Related - Pelosi’s Capitol Police are alleged to have illegally entered the office of Congressman Troy Nehls (R-TX), photographing confidential legislative products and grilling staff, according to reports. The police – now under formal investigation – stand accused of dressing up as construction workers and attempting another entry just two days later. Reports suggest Capitol Police have built intelligence dossiers on those illegally investigated.
OBSERVATION - Pelosi has converted the Capitol police into her how personal stazi. The incidents are egregious. Should the democrats lose the house in November, the incoming republicans should clean house an have heads roll (figuratively). This is another step taking govt agencies and targeting protected activity of citizens and their representatives.
Related, Representative Louie Gohmert has accused the DoJ of intercepting mail from his constituents and illegally holding it. In one case, mail was withheld from the Congressman for over four months. “It is gravely concerning that since Congressional mail is constitutionally protected under the Speech and Debate Clause of the Constitution, it could be routed, intentionally or not, through the highly partisan DOJ. This is felonious behavior.”
OVERALL OBSERVATIONS - These heinous Capitol police and DOJ actions point to a more aggressive move by the Biden/leftist govt against US citizens. If a CW2 scenario goes hot, the likelihood of active involvement by govt agencies skyrocket. It ceases to be a more “culture conflict” between Red and Blue, but hate-filled Biden’s Fed Govt vs Red States and American citizens in Red States.
On Fox News, Sonya LaBosco, Biden’s Director of the Air Marshals National Council said Air Marshals are quietly following Americans who flew into the DC area around Jan 6, 2021.
Vengeful Biden’s TSA has now ordered Air Marshals (who are DOT employes w/ no L/E duties):

A new J6 committee should be formed to subpoena Pelosi..... and her daughter ......who was apparently privy to the facts of the Dem’s J6 conspiracy. The daughter was videotaping Pelosi to get her mother’s biased take on the events in order to display them to the original J6 committee.
As we saw w/ Trump, the new thing is to rake the children over the coals.
Video footage, recorded by Pelosi’s daughter, Alexandra, a documentary filmmaker, showed Pelosi and Schumer on the scene, dithering about what to do.
The video was shown during the J6 committee’s 10th hearing as an alleged illustration of President Trump’s supposed “inaction” WRT the peaceful protesters and the cowardly Dem lawmakers who were hiding.
