In a real world of real consequences, Harvard's el Presidente, Claudine Gay, would have been sent to the showers for not condemning calls for the eradication of Jews on Harvard's hateful campus.
But that isn't the world in which we live. We dwell in a time when a neo-commie like Miss/Ms./Herr Gay (I don't want to assume gender) can sit on her affirmative inaction hands and allow students to call for the murder of every Jew on the planet, Janet, and keep her job because woke, yo!
“She is a scholar of uncommon creativity and rigor, with a strong working knowledge of the opportunities and challenges facing the FAS,” claimed the previous Harvard president, Lawrence Bacow. “She radiates a concern for others, and for how what we do here can help improve lives far beyond our walls.”
The "scholar of uncommon creativity" hacked a piece of her thesis and got away with it. The woman who "radiates a concern for others" is A-OK with calls for Jewish genocide.
Call me a wacky-doodle, but a straight, honky colonizer like me would likely have been beaten into a coma, had a tiki torch shoved up my bahookie, and been fired for allowing such hatred on the campus of a formerly respectable school such as "Hah-vahd." But Gay is -- in the eyes of the pinkos -- quite successful at her job.

Normally a President of an University has to publish many papers and articles. She has not yet was made President of perhaps the most elite U. In the country.

Harvard is one of the few schools which could weather a billion dollar cut in donations waiting for the storm to blow over. Penn couldn’t and suddenly awakened when the donors’ wallets snapped shut.

People fatmouthing about Jews should be reprimanded. Turning it into a criminal offense is, in my opinion, a mistake. The term "hate speech" is being thrown around here, of all places, much too much.
That's not the big deal about the President of Harvard.
It's the glaring, shocking lack of anything resembling scholarship and the fraud involved in what she has claimed to be her qualifications.
Her field of study is very similar to other fields in the progressive stack. "Peer review" by peers already sold on the author's advocacy masquerading as "research". A few "publications" (eleven,in this case) which would not earn an instructorship in any serious field. When the obvious is noticed, attack the noticers.
This has been going on for a long time - but it's still a shock that Harvard's directors and humanities faculty have struck back so hard on this.
Firing her would have been simple and easy.
What they've taken on by keeping her will be neither.
Harvard is now officially a POS as far as legitimate education. About time
