Oops...GOD 1 Allah 0...
“God will not be mocked”
Note that the M’s say it is the same God.
Al-illah translates as “THE god”.
To my mind, they are not the same - but the M’s is a distortion of YHWH. Let me explain
If you read the Qu’ran you quickly see that it doesn’t contain any complete stories - it just says “oh, remember Lot and his wife” and other such items. This is because the Qu’ran is a commentary on the Biblical books.
It also contains a lot of stories that were in the Gospel of Thomas (written around 450 AD) - a Gnostic text.
The Qu’ran was written in 750 AD - about 130 years after Mo supposedly died.
Christoph Luxembourg has given adequate proof (to my mind) that it was originally written in Aramaic and should be read in Aramaic not Arabic (meaning not “72 virginians” but grapes).
The Hadiths and Sira (Mo’s “biography”) date to 850 to 900 AD and contain a lot of mish-mashed stories about different people.
“Islam” only got created, imho, around 850 to 900 AD — prior to that, the Arab “conquest” was really “Arab vassals taking over when the Persians and Romans had beaten each other senseless”. These Arabs were Monarchian Christ-followers - i.e. a heresy of Christianity that held that Jesus was just a prophet.
That’s why in the Qu’ran the word “Muhammad” is used only 4 times - and the word “Jesus” is used 27 times (Moses is closer to 127 times). Muhammad means “the one to be praised” or “praiseworthy” and in those 4 examples is exclusively used as a title.
The praise-worthy one is the messenger of god who they hold to have been a prophet, not God - i.e. Jesus.
But later, in 750 to 850 there come stories making the title into a human being. There still aren’t any inscriptions about him yet, that happens in 850 onwards when the character is “fleshed out”.
So by the time Islam is created around 850 to 950 AD, the deity is a mix of Judaism, Gnosticism, Zoroastrianism and Arabic paganism
“So by the time Islam is created around 850 to 950 AD, the deity is a mix of Judaism, Gnosticism, Zoroastrianism and Arabic paganism.”
That’s been my take on it for decades. Islam always seemed to me to be a mishmash of several dogmata borrowed from other creeds; there is nothing at all original about it.

Biteme wouldn’t listen to my advice. I warned him that it was “Timing, timing, timing” but NO, he had to go off script
