Harvard President Gay’s plagiarism defense is based on the legal principle taught at Harvard Law School that if a driver is stopped for speeding, he can avoid a ticket and fine by agreeing to drive over the same road at the legal speed. If a driver is stopped for driving while drunk, the driver can wait until he’s sober, then drive over the same road to avoid getting charged with DWI.

Any talk about accreditation problems will get an academic’s blood pressure pumping. I doubt they are that worried about their endowment.
