Zelensky makes pitch for US weapons: Politics should not ‘betray the soldier’

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Monday pushed for the U.S. to continue supporting Ukraine, arguing it was vital to stand united against dictatorships and that politics must not “betray the soldier” in the fight for freedom.

Zelensky, speaking at the Pentagon-funded National Defense University in Washington, D.C., in a visit to the Capitol this week, said that American weapons “can get the job done” and defeat Russian forces in Ukraine, asking the U.S. to maintain its support.

“It’s crucial that politics don’t even try to betray [the] soldier, because just like weapons are needed for defense, freedom always requires unity,” he said. “The whole world is watching us, observing [the] destiny of the free nation.”

I have no problem with more money for Ukraine if, as the House of Representatives has signaled, it is obtained by reducing billions in Biden’s spending elsewhere.

Some common sense amidst the flood of ultracrepidarians. Thank you.

politics must not “betray the soldier”
———-
No, St Zelensky betrayed his soldiers, and his nation. Zelensky was elected on the platform of quote, “ make Peace with Russia”. Fact.

https://www.theguardian.com/world/2022/feb/20/ukraines-leader-stood-on-platform-of-peace-but-finds-himself-on-brink-war

“ Ukraine’s leader stood on platform of peace, but finds himself on brink of war”
…. “When Volodymyr Zelenskiy sought to become Ukraine’s president he stood on a platform of peace. Zelenskiy promised to sit down with Vladimir Putin and to reach a deal with Russia. He would end the unpopular war in the east and concentrate on important domestic reforms. These included ridding the country of corruption and oligarchs…..”

Our priority should be the destiny of America.

Diplomatic solution should have been Zelinsky’s priority and Biden’s. It wasn’t even attempted because no $ in that for all the Big Guys in DC.

After Afghanistan, Americans will not support years long foreign war funding. Especially while our domestic situation crumbles.

Perhaps a demilitarized zone is a possibility

Our border is broken.. Wide open.. Handing out money and a place to stay.. Biden Barry have done enough.. My God in heaven.. I get angry at the lines.. They can’t come here but they are. Every day.. They get more help than our veterans

Trump has plans to send them back. But how to find them.. Jobs? Not if the gov hands out $5,000.. That’s a lot of money to them.. It brings more to our country.

I’m sorry but my welcome wagon is out of service..
The #@&$#@ that invited them had better be sent back also.

I see the masses come in.. On America’s Voice.. The media doesn’t show this to the public? That is too bad to show what Biden Barry is doing?

….until the Western governments got a hold of him, and of course the Ukie Azov Nazi’s, which all convinced St Zelensky to continue the war with Russia which started in 2014.

Most of the UN-informed have no idea the war with Russia in the Donbass was ongoing since 2014, and the US was funding it.

None of the US weapons provided are “ doing the job” of winning

“Politics should not ‘betray the soldier’ “

War is politics by other means, and visa-versa...so that’s an absurd contention.

The simple facts are:

1) The US is paying for arms & munitions to Ukraine with imaginary dollars that the Fed creates out of spare electrons every week. We’re f’ing out of money.

2) The US and NATO are stretched thin in terms of reserves of munitions, because our leaders have largely been completely irresponsible. We cannot afford to supply Ukraine anymore, as we are increasingly at risk of losing a conflict (despite superior technology and training) because of a lack of enough munitions.

3) Even if we had the money and the spare munitions, Ukraine simply cannot sustain, let alone win, a war against Russia. Russia has 4 times the manpower - and that was BEFORE the war, and BEFORE about 1/4 to 1/3 of Ukraine’s population beat feet to somewhere else. Russia, like them or not, agree with the invasion or not, is bleeding Ukraine to death - it is WAY past time for Zelenski (or someone else, if he is unwilling) to make peace on the best terms possible, before there are no more Ukrainian males who can father the next generation.

---- "EVERY PENNY expended to or for the Ukrainians is ADDED TO THE AMERICAN NATIONAL DEBT. EVERY PENNY of those NEVER ENDING REPEATED TRANCHES of TENS OF BILLIONS OF AMERICAN DOLLARS. Every friggin’ penny!"

Exactly. And the ISW and associated neocons are not loyal to the Unites States of America. They have their own interests, which enrich the few over the many.

************************************************************

Hey! How about reducing by billions Biden’s spending elsewhere while ALSO not giving Zelensky another penny?

Fiscal Year 2023’s (which ended 9/30/2023) deficit was $1,695 billion. But the gross federal debt increased by $2,330 billion. Here is why: http://usgovernmentspending.blogspot.com/2017/01/the-feds-borrow-more-than-deficit.html

This year, FY 2024, the federal government in its latest budget has estimated that the deficit will be $1,846 billion. https://www.usgovernmentspending.com/federal_deficit_chart

THIS MADNESS MUST STOP!

Hate to tell you Zelensky, but you Ukrainians are not our soldiers.

Politics that you engaged in with the US crooked Biden regime and other western nations who got you to use your people to fight a proxy war is on you Zelensky.

Stay the hell out of our politics you grunting jackass. Our politics is none of your business.

Someone needs to save what is left of your people by kicking your greedy little ass into the meat grinder.

You should because if Biden cuts spending, he cuts spending by hurting the American people.
