The fate of billions in assistance for Ukraine remains in limbo Monday morning even as President Volodymyr Zelensky is expected to make a crucial pitch to senators and House Speaker Mike Johnson on Tuesday.
Zelensky’s visit to Washington – his third since Russia invaded Ukraine in 2022 – is unlikely to shift a now cemented dynamic in Washington that Republicans, even those that back additional funding for Ukraine, aren’t willing to do more unless Democrats and the White House concede on major policy changes on the US southern border.
It’s a complicated moment for the White House, which has made the case again and again that Zelensky and his country are at a critical inflection point in their fight for Democracy. And yet, President Joe Biden’s administration may not be able to deliver the resources it has promised if a domestic, decades-long fight over immigration doesn’t rapidly yield a breakthrough soon.
Bottom Line: It’s more likely than not that Congress leaves at the end of this week without having passed additional aid, without a breakthrough on border policy and without a clear roadmap of how to ensure the funding passes in the thorny months ahead when a showdown over government spending, an impeachment inquiry and the presidential election are in full swing.

Maybe Zelensky will get pissed off, let it get personal, and start releasing dirt he has on US politicians. I might actually start liking the guy somewhat if he did that.
If Zelenski did that, he might piss off Hillary.

Z has to walk a fine line if he wants to survive to see that secluded hideaway he bought with your money. One wrong move, one wrong word and he gets lead poisoning or his plane suffers sudden, unexpected disassembly over the ocean courtesy of the CIA.

and the southern border wall was only costing 6 billion to build. CONgress spends over 100 billion to “protect” (not including kick back laundering ) Ukraine border, but nothing for the American people’s border.

Don’t count on that. Biden has already set up a meeting with the welfare recipient in the presence of Speaker Johnson. And you can be assured that the media will be all over this one to tell the world that Johnson has backed down on his threat to hold Ukranian funds until the southern border problem is fixed or he is made the villian by not supporting those poor Ukrainian residents. It’s up to Johnson which way the next day’s headlines will read and how thick his skin is. And it is obvious Biden, or his button pushers, did it that way.

Don’t be too sure about that. He’s got a lot of leverage over Biden and some in congress are still supportive of him (and the places that a lot of money goes to) so he’s still in the game.
Graham will give him a sloppy kiss.
This the bottom line. The dems and their rhino allies are making more graft keeping the southern border open. They make more getting cartel kickbacks than they can skim off the Ukraine scam.
The great replacement is also fundamental to their long term goals and can't be abandoned.
The have chosen. The task of bankrupting the nation is already largely complete. Now securing never ending power is the main priority.

all Z has to do is present the legislators with their PIN numbers to the Cayman Island bank accounts registered in their names.
I predict Zelensky will cry and Schumer will hold him until it stops. Schumer is running the Senate. Mitch is 100% for the “Secure the Border Act of 2023” known as H.R.2.
