Exactly, and sadly the majority of the bad guys are not Russian. Putin has clearly stated that Ukraine & Georgia are red lines that Russia will not accept being turned into NATO vassal nations states, for their national security reasons.

Putin had good reason to be concerned about NATO moving east. I still can’t decide if NATO was deliberately being provocative or just being stupid. But then Putin completely over-reacted and sent tanks across a sovereign border.
It’s kinda like 1914 all over again. Austro-Hungary had good reason to be concerned about Serbian terrorists. But then everyone involved over-reacted. And the next thing you know, Christians are hacking each other to death in muddy trenches.

Just like we had every right to protect our nation from the USSR's attempts to nuclearize Cuba in the 60s.

He tried to hand Ukraine to Russia, and told Zelensky to evacuate.

Hey, buddy: WE punched above our weight in 1775 at Lexington and Concord and Breed’s Hill and Bunker Hill; and throughout the war. Japan punched above its weight against Russia in 1905. History is full of examples of countries and peoples “punching above their weight.”
