This is the moment Vladimir Putin warns that Ukraine 'has no future' while sipping champagne at a Kremlin awards ceremony for troops as fears are growing that Western support for Kyiv is fading.

In footage posted to X, the Russian president assured attendees Russia's defence plans were 'working more and more competently', with the country's arms industry allegedly producing 'several times more'.

He claimed that meanwhile Ukraine was running out of weapons. 'They don't have their own foundations,' Putin added.

“There was a later revival, which coincided with a revival of Christianity amongst the elite of the UK.”

Yeah? Have you ever heard of Charles Darwin, and the impact he had? Darwin is associated with the DECLINE of religion
— rightly or wrongly. The Victorian Age — which began with Victoria’s ascendance to the throne in 1837 — saw a veritable explosion of agnosticism, including the likes of Spencer, Thomas Huxley, Tyndall, Clifford; just to name a few. In fact, the pinnacle of agnosticism was from 1860 (Darwin’s “On the Origin of Species” was published in 1859) up to the end of the 19th century.

If you’re going to trot out religion to buttress your claim, have some idea of what you are talking about.

Sounds like April Glaspie.

Why was Biden telling us there would be war in Ukraine a month before it happened?

Sorry, but you missed my point. Or perhaps I wasn’t clear enough.

The Russian invasion of Ukraine isn’t “relatively minor”. It’s a big deal, and it’s a war crime. What’s “relatively minor” are the stupid NATO provocations that help set the whole thing in motion.

As I noted previously, this war parallels the start of WW1 in many ways. The assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand was relatively minor in the greater scheme of things. But then Austro-Hungary over-reacted. And we all know what followed - a bloody, horrible, unnecessary mess.

Always the same posters 24/7
All hours of the day and night.
Post about Ukraine one of the usually suspects is there to engage you.
The writing is on the wall for Ukraine yet here they are fighting their “Great Patriotic War” to the bitter end.
They revel in the carnage.

Yeah Biden is the one who invaded Ukraine.

You fool.

They knew Putin was preparing to invade. Biden announced we would not fight there. Biden said a “limited incursion” by Russia would be ok. Biden advised Zelensky to leave.

Which part of reality troubles you?

And you think the country that unleashed Hamas on Israel should be allowed to conquer in Europe.

Putin had good reason to be concerned about NATO moving east. I still can’t decide if NATO was deliberately being provocative or just being stupid. But then Putin completely over-reacted and sent tanks across a sovereign border.

I agree with your analysis. I also think that NATO has been very alarming, quite out of control, since their "successful" attack on Libya.

IMO the Ukraine, to Russia, is similar to Papua New Guinea to Australia. PNG was "given" independence, but Australia keeps a firm hand. They make no major foreign policy decisions without Australian approval. It HAS to be that way, although it is not very fair, because that northern border is the front door to Australia. If PNG joined some Asian alliance - a Chinese NATO - Aust would have to react. But I hope we would not launch into an ill-thought out invasion.

Corporations headquartered in the US do a lot of business with reprobates while Congress/Executive Branch allows that. What exactly is your point? Purin is one of many that is involed. Fact is this is a NATO expansion issue and from Putin’s POV, its no surprise that he would do anything to prevent Ukraine from joining that (Entangled from a US side) alliance. NATO should have been dissolved in the early 1990s. George Washington would have agreed based on his Final Address which is the best foreign policy advice the US ever had.

Moreover, religion in Britain continued to decline throughout the 20th century.

You really need to know your facts before you post such claims.

“You don’t want American energy to replace Russian energy in Europe? You want those good jobs in Russia and not in Texas? “

The DC Globohomo Regime is doing everything it can to shut down domestic natural gas.

I don’t credit claims that they want to export to Europe.

“And their life under Russia wouldn’t be any different than under Ukraine, except for, you know, all the death and destruction and displacement.”

Also, Ukraine is one of the few places where if Russia takes over, there would be less corruption.

Russia-Ukraine war: how big is Ukraine’s army - size of armed forces compared to Russia, UK, US, NATO

How big is Ukraine’s army?

According to the International Institute of Strategic Studies (IISS), Ukraine had 196,600 active military personnel when the invasion began on 24 February.

This split into:

125,600 ground troops
35,000 air personnel
15,000 naval troops
Another 900,000 reservists

These numbers have been bolstered as men aged between 18 and 60 have been conscripted and other civilians have volunteered to bear arms - bringing the total to between 500,000 and 700,000 troops according to various estimates by experts.

If you notice they had a million man force. They are having to pull people off the streets & force them into war's front lines, with very little training, which means that the depletion rate is exacerbated by the lack of experience. In fact, there is talk of them now drawing upon women.

So, you tell me, where have all of these military personnel gone to? Why is Ukraine so desperate for bodies to send to the front lines.

You know as well as I do that no accurate number exists, because the first casualty of war is the truth. Only guesstimates, and none are reliable on either side. But those bodies have gone somewhere. I suggest it has been to graves.

They were reporting on satellite images, in early 2022, but they have strangely been absent on reporting these satellite images.

You are free to believe whatever numbers suits your little heart, but I can guarantee that the numbers are staggering, which is why they really haven't been reporting these numbers. Though they love to state 100k Russians have been killed, and you all eat those numbers up & spit them out continually. I am getting the numbers being reported by those of have sources that relay their information gleaned from satellite pictures supposedly. I personally have no way of knowing the true numbers. But the numbers coupled with the issues of Ukraine manning a fighting forces, is pretty compelling that Ukraine's losses are much higher than we know.

So, give me your numbers, and provide supporting evidence. Also, if you can, provide proof that your numbers are accurate.

“The comic book fantasies of the “plucky underdog” always winning are just delusional.”

Ah, as is so common with people who are losing an argument, they CHANGE the elements of their argument; as you have just done. We went from a few instances where smaller nations defeated larger ones, to you now introducing the qualifier “ALWAYS winning.” How did you segue from “some” to “always?”

You guys are a joke.

Fools don't learn from history. Like I said, sounds like April Glaspie.

Biden said what his K Street and Foggy Bottom handlers to him to say, the kinda thing you'd say if you want a war to fight.

BYW, you're easily the most obnoxious poster on this forum, so at least you've got that going for you.

Do you just pull this stuff out of your butt? In various studies Russia has been identified as MORE corrupt than Ukraine (but not by a hell of a lot).

Post your link to support your claim that thus far Ukraine has lost 500,000 troops KIA in this war. You made the claim, kid; back it up. Your recitation said NOTHING about Ukraine losing 500,000 KIA.

Support your claim, kid.

Last time I looked Russia IS in Europe. Are you wanting to kick them out of their own country? Again I ask, you and what army?
