Actually if people paid attention to the numbers this has been trending for a few years now, it’s just none of this has impacted the electoral level because when you have 80% support drop to 70% support, it’s not observable on the election result level in a lot cities. But if the trend continues, at some point it’s going to threaten to affect outcomes of elections, only then will media and pundits start to pay attention.
