Santos Says He Will Be Replaced in Congress By ‘Democrat or a Democrat in Republican Skin’ (as intended by the McCarthyites)

Expelled Rep. George Santos, R-N.Y., on Wednesday told followers on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter, that his successor in Congress would either be a Democrat or a "Democrat in Republican skin."But

"The level of corruption is so insane that this is what they wanted … remove me the most conservative member of the NY delegation and replace me with another Dem or RINO," Santos said.

A litany of Republican candidates are running against Sapraicone, including Nassau county lawmaker Maxi Pilip, Jan. 6 rioter Sean Grillo and war veteran Kellen Curry.

Tom Suozzi is likely to be the Democratic nominee in the special election, which Democratic New York Gov. Kathy Hochul announced earlier this week.

If lying and corruption are the metrics by which congress things are to be removed, then most of the House needs to be kicked to the curb.

Probably true but Santos was his own worse enemy.

Plus another report that says:followers on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter.

.....the platform formerly known as Twitter... Is unnecessary. Wonder how many years they’ll be saying that.

The Republican leadership are morons. All they had to do was say: “We will vote to expel Santos as soon Robert Menedez is expelled

I’ve come to the conclusion that the leadership of the Republican Party in Congress and nationally actually prefer being in the minority. It’s just so much easier to let someone else (the dems/left) have their way rather than fight for what’s right and Constitutional. I’ve also come to expect them to just role over at the first signs of resistance, and then be eager to “compromise” (give the left what they want). Sen. Tuberville did the right thing, but was betrayed by the RINOs who, for whatever reason, are always willing to accept defeat in exchange for whatever tidbits the dems throw their way. There are just so many of these that need to be primaried into retirement. The odor of Democrat emanating from Linsey Graham is almost overpowering.

He may have been “convicted” of lying in the past but he’s 100% right about everything here.

His election, like those of a few other NY freshmen in 2022, was a fluke anyway though. Santos’ district is a Democrat district and not even particularly “marginal”; Rats outnumber Republicans by over 10% and that factor will be apparent both in the special election and in 2024.

In the special, Rat voters and the Rat organization will be motivated to pick up a seat; the RNC as usual will likely sit on its hands and blame Santos for ruining the district when it simply reverts to what it has always been in recent years.

The liberal RINO Santos backstabber (D’Esposito) in the nextdoor 4th district is probably out in 2024 too, but count on him running hysterically to the left (even more so than he already is) in an effort to keep his cushy job.

To be sure it is right on schedule for the backstabbing, nation degrading, turncoat, deceptive, lying, conspiratorial, thieving, destroying, ad infinitum for the despicable GOPe. Yet these collective scumbags didn’t toss out blatantly racist Tlaib.

It has become apparent in recent days why Johnson was picked and confirmed so quickly and firmly, Charlie Kirk said on his podcast the other day paraphrasing: He’s just another McCarthy who wraps himself in a Bible. Shame on us for thinking he is anything but GOPe.

He might declare himself as the “most conservative” member of the NY delegation, but he is still a Major League liar.

George Santos has not been convicted of anything yet.

Cook Report lists the district at D+ 2, D+ 10. Santos won in 2022 53.7 to 46.2%. Which in some places is considered a landslide.

The former district 3 that the Dem Tom Souzi beat George Santos in 2020 covered the north part of Queens, Nassau and part of Suffolk County. The new district adds a little more of Queens and drops down to the bottom of Nassau but eliminates the Suffolk part. In theory that should be more liberal, but it appears not to be.

I have not lived out there in 45 years so I am not completely familiar with the politics.

Santos appears to have been a place holder who happened to get elected. Probably because of poor campaigning by the democrat.

I’m aware of that. Hence “convicted” in quotes.

Whatever the configuration of the new lines as of 2022, they changed almost nothing (maybe 1%) in terms of political balance and were not responsible in any significant way for this district flipping from D to R in ‘22.

Trump under the old (2020) lines got 44.3% in CD-3; under the new lines he would have received 45.4%. So that can be called a 2-point swing (R+1, D-1 for a NET R+2) at best.

Santos was a fluke as was all of 2022 in parts of New York. Some have suggested it was a coattail effect of having a popular GOP nominee (not popular enough, unfortunately) for Governor at the top of the ticket. Nothing like that is going to happen again in NY in 2024, and after the Democrats take the CD-3 special election they will be strongly favored to hold it next November.

"Santos appears to have been a place holder who happened to get elected. Probably because of poor campaigning by the democrat."

I don't know what the tone of that campaign was, but both candidates raised and spent almost identical amounts, just over $3 million each:

2022 election results for NY District 3

Now take a look at the "independent" expenditures in that race. Santos received almost zero support in that area while being slimed by nearly $2 million in hate ads, etc. On the other side Democrat Zimmerman had *NO* independent expenditures against him at all (the RNC punted this race) but was aided considerably by over $1 million worth of fluff.

Add it all up and the Democrat had $4.4 million to work with and Santos barely $1 million. Which is why just looking at "receipts" and "spending" by the campaigns themselves doesn't always tell nearly the whole story.

However Santos still won despite all that, though it's just one more indication that points to f-l-u-k-e.

He’s convicted of taking a Democrat seat away from them. Doesn’t he understand that they’re entitled to power?

In the late sixties an eloquent somewhat corrupt pastor from Harlem, Adam Clayton Powell was thrown out of the House of Representatives after being convicted of a crime. The residents of Harlem overwhelmingly elected him to Congress again. Run George, run. Your voters now know every possible negative thing the press and the Rinos could come up with. My guess is they might act as the Harlem voters did in the sixties!
