Pro-Palestinian activists are angry at California Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) for moving the state’s official Christmas tree lighting indoors, following the threat of protests that have disrupted Christmas observances and other public events across the nation

The Sacramento Regional Coalition for Palestinian Rights is hosting a rally at the Capitol on Tuesday evening calling for a cease-fire in Gaza. In a statement, the group accused Newsom of canceling his plans to hold the tree lighting in person because he “doesn’t want to face their anger at his shameful stance in regard to the genocide in Gaza.”

My little community in the farm country of California had a tree lighting ceremony last night. A fire truck delivered Santa. The kids hung ornaments on the tree. Folks sang Christmas carols. But then we farmers all support the 2nd amendment. Don’t get in the way of our traditions or it won’t end well.

If the Sacramento Regional Coalition for Palestinian Rights is so concerned about Gazan, why don’t they call upon Hamas to surrender? That would stop the bloodshed and the absence of Hamas would no doubt improve Palestinians’ lives immeasurably. Pipes designed for moving water and sewage could be used as designed instead of as rocket bodies, concrete could be used to build decent housing instead of terror tunnels.

And why isn’t this question asked at every pro Palestinian rally?

Meanwhile in our little roadside community we had our Christmas tree lighting and caroling ceremony. A main US highway passes through our town - just a two lane road. In LA that road becomes a freeway with eight lanes either side.

They should have an outdoor United States Marines
Christmas Tree ceremony in a public place near Camp Pendleton in Southern Kalifornia. I would love to see the ‘brave’ protestors screaming as they flee. The Marines would not need anything but their two hands. No guns, no knives, just good ‘ol American knowhow. The videos would be precious.
