My tagline says it all. Until then he needs to deflect, or outright lie about it. It’s the ONLY way we save the country. The problem is he WILL NOT GET REELECTED. And the second problem is that he would not have competent people around him to carefully act out the plan if he did manage to get 99.7% of the country to vote for him, overcoming massive fraud and manipulation.
You want a Pinochet. Hard to find a benevolent dictator. It’s possible. But usually that’s not the case.

The POTUS has all the authority he has under the Constitution to administer justice and does not need to subvert it; merely implement it.
That should read, “The POTUS has all the authority he requires under the Constitution,” etc. He is the highest law enforcer in the land and the commander in chief of all the military.
