Now worries, our filthy congress piles that on our debt each and every day, and that’s only one $trillion.

OK Fellow Freepers, here is my question. Under what authority does the President have to give away any of the taxpayers money ?

Has a bill been passed in Congress ? Who actually authorizes the finances of the country ?

The money must be laundered so why not this rail scheme surprised they didn’t decide to build it in Ukraine.

I’m sure there are performance guarantees built into the grant funding, NOT!

This amount is peanuts in comparison to what it is actually going to cost. The estimated median at this point is $21.8B and the working time to 2030. So giving the state $9B isn’t even close to the shortfall. And they are now talking about extending the rail into Bakersfield and Merced with additional bus services from Bakerfield to southern LA and it ends in what is currently an orchard up north.

The republicans voted to give biden a $1.7T slush fund in the inflation reduction Act (build back better spending bill).
