Iranian President to Meet Putin in Moscow on Dec. 7

Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi will visit Moscow on Thursday for talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin, the Kremlin confirmed Tuesday.

Iran's official news agency Irna had earlier reported on the planned visit, saying that the two leaders would discuss "bilateral issues, including economic interactions, as well as discussions about regional and international issues, especially the situation in Gaza, [which] will be high on the agenda of the one-day trip."

"I can confirm. There will be Russian-Iranian negotiations on December 7," Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters on Tuesday when asked about media reports

Raisi’s visit will come a day after Putin travels to the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia on Wednesday for talks on energy and regional politics.

The trips will make up Putin’s fifth trip abroad since the International Criminal Court (ICC) issued an arrest warrant for him in March over the illegal deportation of Ukrainian children to Russia.

Putin and Raisi last spoke by phone on Oct. 16, a call during which they raised concerns about the ongoing war between Israel and Hamas militants.

Russia’s top diplomat and military chief visited Iran earlier this fall.

Since invading Ukraine last year, Russia has turned to Iran for military support and economic partnerships as both countries face a raft of Western sanctions.

Western countries have accused Tehran of supporting Russia's war in Ukraine by providing it with large quantities of drones and other weaponry.

AFP contributed reporting.

It’s the new “axis of evil” emerging. You can add China and a few others to the list.

Well when they got together nearly 2 months ago, within a day or two the tribal barbarity began. So we should be alert for WMD.

Since Irans Raisi’s visit will come a day after Putin travels to the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia on Wednesday for talks...sure looks and sounds like Putins making a Middle East tour with the heavy hitters.....

....When Putins on the move and who he is seeing it’s wise to pay close attention....

Putin supports both Iran and Hamas.

That is true. At the same time, Iran announced that they would not join the war against Israel to support Gaza. I think Russian pressure was part of that.

Iran expanding the war just causes more problems for Russia.

“...Putin supports both Iran and Hamas..”

so does the Biden/Obama administration. Pallets of money to Iran and removal of Trumps sanctions, etc. Trump also stopped funding Palestinians (Hamas) but the Biden/Obama crowd opened up the money faucets again. What has Putin given them besides “attaboys?”

Good point. (We support Hamas and Iran too.)

We also support Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and so on. Which are also anti-American terrorist funders.

another thought - those 800++ miles of tunnels built by or for Hamas were probably paid for by the American tax-payer. I don’t know how, but this WH crowd is so down and dirty, I suspect they did.

Get a cruise missile or two, ready in Gaza, and let them fly! Perfect opportunity to rid the world of 2 scumbags.
