Imagine that student’s shock; when they lie on a résumé; get a nice job offer with relocation, show up for work and it’s apparent they aren’t qualified. Some boss will demand a background check, and when it’s found that ANY detail on the resume was fake

1) immediately fired
2) Relocation costs must be refunded
3) depending upon state, company losses may be assessed

It won’t seem to funny when they are treated like an adult

Cheating to get the kid into a good college/university or is/was rampant in California.

A friend we know lives in an l2 home cul de sac could not believe what was done to get the other kids into college and basic discrimination against good students. Her daughter got a scholarship at a great nursing. She got her degree in 4 years despite the Covid BS.

All they could get her here was an expensive 7 year program.

Her son aced the math test and was on the math olympics. When he started getting offers from good out of state engineering programs. Then he was accepted her and finished a 5 year program in 4 years.

Wait... what?!

THIS triggers your moral compass, but telling people to stop breaking the law is out of bounds? LOL!

Lying. It is the national standard and pastime. The standard is set by this administration. Just like we never spoke of oral sex before clintoon’s example, we have a new wave of lying with xiden setting the pace.

Let us all know when this starts happening to diversity minorities.

It’s the opposite. corporate America now brags about not hiring white men.

No one gives rats ass about resume lies. No one. Rare is it someone is fired or even punished in any way. I’ve seen countless lies on resume, all without consequences.

The answer to people lying about their ethnicity for affirmative action purposes is as simple as a DNA test.

There are many special privileges given to government-certified victim groups. This is illegal, wrong and unconstitutional. Pretending to be in a privileged group is morally and ethically blameless.

No different from claiming to be trans.

The whole college acceptance process is corrupt beyond redemption. A lottery would be a fairer system. Submit an application that meets basic acceptance standards, get a lottery ticket. It couldn’t worse that the current system.

Not just the plague of college student dishonesty remember all the Hollywood parents flashed cash to get their crotch fruit into colleges and universities.

Some students earn their way but to few.

From this article:
https://insidesources.com/cheating-in-college-is-big-business-and-a-big-problem/

....companies are making billions of dollars selling test answers, trading tests, hawking pre-written essays or writing entirely new work for students. There are even people who can, for a fee, take entire classes or take a student’s tests.

When students pay their way to test scores and course grades and degrees and credentials, three things happen. One, the value of that degree — what it means to have it — goes down. When cheating happens, a degree no longer represents learning. The second thing is that people enter the workforce unprepared. Even though they finished school or have a credential, nurses don’t actually know nursing, engineers don’t really know engineering and teachers don’t know how to teach. Third and most disturbing to me is the inequity gap that grows between those who can afford to pay to cheat and those who cannot.

Those realities make it very troubling that, 24 hours a day, any student can buy an answer to a homework question in minutes. During a test, students can text any problem and get the answer before their test ends. Easier yet, they can snap a photo of the exam and get all the answers.

There are companies that encourage students to upload their tests and answers to massive document banks. Those companies then sell those tests and assignments back to other students. For a profit, of course.

And then there are the essay mills. You can get a custom essay on any topic you’d like — in a day. There’s even a rush service. It’s simple. And scary.

Some cheating companies have millions of subscribers. Some of them are publicly traded entities posing as student support services. They spend millions on ads and on social media, messaging students directly saying “you deserve to have fun” or “being a student is so stressful” or “your teacher is terrible.” All this is to make cheating logical, normal and easy. Oh, and to make money.

All that money means that teachers and schools are outmatched in their efforts to educate students not to cheat. It would be like one person trying to take down Amazon. It’s little wonder that cheating is increasing.

“Students will even misrepresent their race or ethnicity”

Just as some people will misrepresent their gender.

That is a shame, as it only encourages others to do more egregious lies

I would bet that those in the company that successfully lied, and got away with it, have broadcasted that your company doesn’t check backgrounds. This only makes things worse

Background checks do not catch the lies. Not at all. HR bimbos doing the background checks have zero capability to understand such things.

Ah, the self-appointed FR car speed monitor (and control freak) chimes in. Now she’s stalking me.

Seek help on your control issues.

And go away.
