Minnesota has the same thing with Minneapolis and St. Paul, they even split I-35, like DFW does, so they are the Minnesota Vikings.
So really, it should be the Texas Cowboys.
I think that’s why the baseball team is the Texas Rangers, instead of being called the Dallas Rangers, since they aren’t actually in Dallas.
