Could the Republican Party as currently constituted be any more ineffective?
Any more cowardly? Any more easily and willingly steamrolled?
Not likely.
There are a few good men and women, to be sure, but they are too few to fight the limp-wristed, irresolute majority of their colleagues.
Most of them work for the opposition, Kevin McCarthy being the recent prime example. He made promises to become Speaker, did not keep any of them, and was justifiably dethroned.

The repukian party is hand in hand comrades to the illiberal regressive democrats.
Their lack of condemning the illegal lawfare used to persecute President Trump is glaringly obvious.
Crickets from some two hundred sixty some repukians, house and senate.
More like TRAITORS. Bought and sold, complicit traitors.
there’s really no other way to say it. They only care about the money that lobbyists bribe them with.
The number of patriots in DC can be counted on one hand.
But it all goes back to open borders and the myth of unfettered immigration being a national ‘value’. When LBJ/Ted Kennedy destroyed our nation with the 1965 immigration act, America stopped being a unified nation of common people. Instead it became a shell corporation and nothing more than a marketplace where the only thing that matters is how much money you can make. Any sense of brotherhood with fellow countrymen has long since been destroyed.
That’s because they’re not republicans.
It’s an illusion, like everything else in the swamp.
They play their role well as pretend adversaries to the Democrats described adeptly in "This Town" by Mark Leibovich.
It's all a show. Pretend to fight, pretend to be outraged, then later go to lunch and meet for cocktails later that evening with the "enemy."
Thanks for posting.
I personally believe the Republican party has been hijacked by the Communist left. Exactly like what has happened to government at all levels.
He made promises to become Speaker, did not keep any of them, and was justifiably dethroned.
For all the comments from people about Gaetz and “his plan”, no plan was needed. McCarthy made promises. Once in office he turned his back on everyone and went back to playing the games. Just like damn near all of them do.
People like Gaetz, Higgins, Greene, and a few others don’t seem to get anything done because the other Republicans are corrupt and cowardly.
If the Republican House had 218 folks like them, I’m thinking things would be much different. But we don’t have that.
Why? Because the Machine is really good at making sure folks they don’t approve of get a chance. Because voters will just vote name recognition regardless of how horrible their Rep or Senator is. Because voters are unwilling to give someone else a chance.
And most importantly, the Machine will do anything and everything to get rid of someone. First it’ll be bribes or a cush job. If that doesn’t work the fangs come out and they’ll try to ruin the person. And that usually works and the people are stuck. Sadly, this happens at every level of government.
You forget the days of Lott, Frist, Hastert, Boehner, and Ryan.
Few in leadership have turned out to be stellar or even statesmen. Most leave a rather sad legacy.
Lindsey Graham is the most obvious example of your statement.
The parasitic GOP is responsible for the sh## show coup we have now in the white house, senate and congress,
they helped them get rid of trump,
they allowed the border to be wide open,
they ignored the kaos in the streets,
they allowed the J6 to remain in jail,
they ignored the corruption through out the system
they ignored voter fraud,
they have fought viciously to condom and stifle conservatives who fight them back
they have allowed the rats to run over them time and time again without a peep or a fight.
Sic Semper Dumbasses!
Democrats are LAW-LESS because Republicans are BALL-LESS.
DemocRATS are LAW-LESS because Republicans are BALL-LESS.
"The Republican Party corrupt, constitutionally undefined political parties that have pirated control of state and federal governments are saturated with abject career cowards that constitutionally clueless, post-17th Amendment ratification voters continue to reelect."
There! Fixed it.
Patriots, please bear in mind that the next major political event in the US is not when hopeful Trump 47 gets elected for the third time.
More specifically, Democratic and Republican Trump supporters need to ASAP primary all state and federal incumbent lawmakers and executives up for reelection in 2024, except for MTG, Gaetz & Company, Jordan (and others?).
After all, lawmakers and executives continue to show that they do not have the patriotism and leadership skills necessary to find legislative support for effective remedies for unconstitutional government policies.
Exclusive: Marjorie Taylor Greene ‘Dumbfounded’ GOP Colleagues Will Not Call for Biden’s Impeachment! (6.10.23)
Patriots need to replace incumbents with new lawmakers who will not only support Trump to finish draining the swamp, but will also support Trump in surrendering state powers that the unconstitutionally big federal government has stolen from the states back to the states, including repealing the 16th (direct taxes) and 17th (popular voting for federal senators) Amendments (16&17A).
Consider the repealing of 16&17A as part of reparations for victim taxpayers of the unconstitutionally big federal government having to pay a lifetime of unconstitutional federal taxes, taxes that Congress cannot reasonably justify under its constitutional Article I, Section 8-limited powers and a few other constitutionally enumerated expenses.
"Congress is not empowered to tax for those purposes which are within the exclusive province of the States." —Justice John Marshall, Gibbons v. Ogden, 1824.
“If the tax be not proposed for the common defence, or general welfare, but for other objects, wholly extraneous, (as for instance, for propagating Mahometanism among the Turks, or giving aids and subsidies to a foreign nation, to build palaces for its kings, or erect monuments to its heroes,) it would be wholly indefensible upon constitutional principles [emphases added].” — Justice Joseph Story, Commentaries on the Constitution 2 (1833).
From the congressional record:
”Simply this, that the care of the property, the liberty, and the life of the citizen, under the solemn sanction of an oath imposed by your Constitution, is in the States and not in the federal government [emphases added]. I have sought to effect no change in that respect in the Constitution of the country.” —John Bingham, Congressional. Globe. 1866, page 1292 (see top half of third column)
“Cherish, therefore, the spirit of our people, and keep alive their attention. If once they become inattentive to the public affairs, you and I, and Congress and Assemblies, judges and governors, shall all become wolves [emphasis added]. It seems to be the law of our general nature.” - Thomas Jefferson (Letter to Edward Carrington January 16, 1787)
Pelosi: "We have to pass the bill so that you can find out what is in it." (non-FR; 6 sec.)
Democrats [and RINOs] Are Terrified Of An Educated And Informed Public (3.12.23)
Finally, consider that corrupt political party and media fuss about "obsolete" electoral college is because the electoral college is the only thing stopping the corrupt political parties from establishing a permanent puppet presidency that will unquestioningly sign unconstitutional taxing and spending bills into law.
Like most every “professional politician”, in addition to being cowards (frightened to the point of paralysis by the Democrat/Communist Party and the media) and lazy beyond words (as to doing much of anything effective to preserving our Republic, our Constitution and Liberty), many of the members of the GOP caucus in both chambers are entirely focused on their primary — far above all else — objective: Their re-election.
> no plan was needed.
That’s right. Just take the appropriate action in response to the situation. Get his ass out, give somebody else a chance, repeat.
There have been “political parties “ since the Constitution was signed even before! Why? Because it’s human nature! The reason we have two and will always have functionally two is because of the fundamental argument of centralized power vs decentralized power. In the beginning those for a more centralized national government were pro-Constitution, those against signing were for a decentralized national government. Later this rivalry developed into two parties - Federalist & AntiFederalists. That division is at the heart of every national dispute, continues to this day. It doesn’t matter what the parties are called. The names have even switched sides. We are not a multiparty system- i.e. parliamentary system, we are an executive system. This is why 3rd, 4th etc parties don’t last. A major party has to implode for third party to succeed. (That only occurs under very special circumstances like a civil war.) It quickly becomes the second party and the centralized government vs decentralized government arguement continues. Our problem is not the system but “political professionalism “ and the voters who are willing to support it.
Yes, they probably should speak out on the politicized prosecutions, but 1) they have a lot more to worry about than internet commenters do, and 2) they aren’t going to go out on a limb for Trump if they don’t know that Trump would do the same for them.
