Hillary Clinton at COP28 climate talks calls for insurance reform

DUBAI, Dec 3 (Reuters) - Former U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton called on Sunday for reform of the insurance sector, where companies are increasingly withdrawing assistance against climate shocks.

Lower-income countries and workers in nations most affected by climate change are struggling to access insurance to help protect them from economic shocks.

"We need to rethink the insurance industry," Clinton said during a panel on women and climate resiliency. "Insurance companies are pulling out of so many places. They're not insuring homes. They're not insuring businesses."

Clinton earlier this year joined the Arsht-Rock Foundation Resilience Center as a global ambassador on heat, health and gender. The center has pioneered new forms of so-called parametric insurance that offer payments once disasters hit a pre-set extreme.

To her reform = control. They are winning because they advocate for policy changes. We should be advocating for our own insurance reform, to get it out from government control and to lower barriers to entry for new competitors. (the insurance companies would probably prefer her controls)

“Insurance companies are pulling out of so many places. They’re not insuring homes. They’re not insuring businesses.”

If you live in a flood plain, on the side of a volcano or on an earthquake fault, why should I subsidize your monthly insurance payments?

Ok, she is now an insurance lobby spokesperson.

Paraphrasing: “Be sure to change the laws and or have government subsidies to insure other countries not the US can have financial rebuilding access at cheap rates.”

So those rich people that can afford insurance get it a lower cost and the poor have to rebuild out of their own pocket.

How about that rebuilding fund for Haiti, former madam secretary?

The Carbon Scam. So many uses! There is no level of taxation or control that it cannot justify! No wonder the Wicked Witch of the East loves it so much.

Who elected the biatch, Clintoon to anything? When America wants any sh*t out of her, we’ll unscrew her head and dip it out.

With her vision, rates would triple from what you pay now, and no one would have any insurance. Course, some people in Florida would suggest that we are already at this position where home insurance is beyond the capability of people to pay.

We already saw what the Clintoon mob could do in Haiti. And the Haitians remember it very well. The Clintoons are thieves. ALL OF THEM.

Insurance is for random events and losses.
I live in an area( Hawaii) generally subject to virtually
every natural disaster known to man.
It is foolish to think an insurance company will
insure me against something that is very possibly
going to occur.
I accept the risks, with due diligence.
If my house gets damaged by Earthquake, Hurricane, floods, and such, I have to deal with it.
I’m more concerned about liabilities from other people suing me if my pet cows manage to get out and people hit them, destroying their car and them.

“Hillary Clinton at COP28 climate talks calls for insurance reform”

For those of you that might miss this nice term, it means WEAPONIZING INSURANCE COMPANIES for political purposes. Hard to see how this doesn’t meet the definition of Fascism.

You would think a 76 year old hag like Clinton would be more worried about other things than trying to pay back political favors.

Let’s take that further, why subsidize your monthly insurance payments when you are such a moron and are a danger to your house and our cars?? We should have an intellect test, which due to your lack of insurance understanding suggests you should be charged more for your insurance.
