If a life is sacred enough to save, it’s sacred enough to keep. Unless the health care providers have been in that situation personally, they don’t know how the patient feels. The longest a “hopeless” life was held onto in the NICU was done by a doctor who’d been a “hopeless” case in ER as a teenager, which I discovered when I called her on her life prolonging treatments. As a Christian, I also know that God can raise the dead.
