And Barf Brooks and his fat wife refused to sing for anything republican related. They’re totally in for President Retard. What a surprise NOT

John Lennon and Yoko Ono wrote Imagine which says “Imagine No Possessions”. Well, Yoko never imagined no possessions - she fought Paul McCartney tooth and nail over the rights to and royalties from Beatles songs. Its like John Kerry or Gates telling us to stay home and not drive while they are boarding their private jets to campaign against carbon emissions.

It was terrible to use that tune in the closing of the film, THE KILLING FIELDS, because it is what the Khymir Rouge believed in large part. Just imagine all those Cambodians without possessions, in the year Zero, learning that God is dead.

you gotta be kidding me...those two showed up and sang that tripe? I cannot really believe Rosalyn wanted that sung at her funeral. Maybe she did, but that would have betrayed much of her public and private life as far as we know.

Garth Brooks was on some football show over the holidays, singing “The River” with a girl football reporter. He has really gone downhill...or, perhaps, his “decent guy” persona was a facade.

I know he apparently cheated on his first wife and went off with Trisha Yearwood. I guess that happens when you’re inundated with overwhelming wealth and fame. And lots of people have marriages that fail, but this guy seems to take the cake.

Country music stars have enjoyed a lot of goodwill from their audience, and then they spit leftist crap into their faces. Not all of them, but enough of them to notice.

“”””even though Carter was a devout Southern Baptist Christian””””

That isn’t correct, the Carters rejected and left the Southern Baptists, and she was also a church Deacon.

HOW DO WE KNOW THAT ROSALYNN didn’t pick that song?

Many famous people plan their own funerals down to the last detail.

Queen Elizabeth II certainly did.

Not unusual for well known people to have everything planned out tightly.

ALSO-—EVERY report I have read says that Garth & Trisha were good friends with the Carters.

Surely the family chose the song... no?

As soon as I heard “Imagine” being sung at R. Carter’s funeral I thought: “damn liberals are so predictable.”

Not a funeral - this is a DNC fundraiser, ergo the DNc picked the music.

I’m sure when Jimmy dies Barf Brooks and his fat wife will sing Running with the Devil at the funeral

Contrast with Robert Dole’s funeral, which began with “Lift High the Cross,” a hymn proclaiming the gospel and the doctrines of the church, and ended with “I’m Proud to be an American.”

There is America, and there is antiAmerica; the Carters got their funeral hijacked by the latter, the result of staying Democrat long after it stopped meaning American.

“But to sing that there is no heaven and no religion at the funeral of a woman who has always been portrayed as a devout Christian is certainly a strange choice.”

Rosslyn was a devout Christian? Yet belonged to the party of abortion/infanticide, homosexuality, transmania, antisemitism, etc, and that didn’t want God to be included in their platform at their convention?

Yeah, that’s a devout Christian (snort).
