RNC Chair Ronna McDaniel brushes off donor concerns: ‘There’s nothing unusual about this’

Republican National Committee Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel downplayed donor concerns following reporting on the GOP finances, saying the situation is not unusual.

On Monday, the Washington Post reported that concerns over the national party’s finances were growing as donations to the RNC appear to drop ahead of next year’s presidential election.

The Post noted that the RNC reported having $9.1 million in the bank in October, which is significantly less than the $20 million the party reported having on hand at the same point in the 2016 presidential campaign cycle. Meanwhile, the Democratic National Committee reported having $17.7 million cash-on-hand in October.

Yes, Ronna McDaniel is definitely the reason that big Republican donors are leery of supporting the party. I cannot think of any other reason why they would have misgivings.

Let us all be honest here.

True Republicans are not going to donate to the RNC as they have in the past. The RNC financially supports RINOs mostly, they’re not listening to the Republican base any longer.

For financial support to get the true Republicans, one has to donate directly to those Republicans and not RINOs the RNC gets behind.

If only RINOs are running, only RINOs and their wishy-washy milquetoast supporters and disenfranchised Democrats will be funding them.

Agreed! At this point, I have reduced my donations drastically. I will only give to a VERY FEW who I can still put my full faith in to do the right thing.

Anecdotally, I’m pretty sure that’s what’s happening. The base has wised up and are giving to candidates directly. With the Internet that’s now easy. However, I wonder if the big money donors are holding back because they know Trump will be the nominee and they want a RINO.

Failure to support Trump, along with his legal situation, is a great part of their problem.they continue to back RINO losers and the base is well aware!

Ronna is doing a god-awful job as Chairman of the RNC.

At first, I thought she was just stupid but now I think she is trying to destroy the RNC just like Michall Steele tried.

At that, she is performing a splendid job.

That’s what I don’t understand. Trump tends to turn on people that turn on him and he’s been unusually quiet about the whole thing. Not to mention he endorsed her.

Does she have any connections, family or otherwise, to any of the old guard GOP who can keep her in power?

Donations have dropped off because nobody trusts the RNC with McDaniel in charge.

No joke. Not sure why the RNC has kept her this long.

They should just grab some random person and put them in charge. Someone like me could fix quite a bit! Y
