Is this part of the Biden make better 5-13 million new jobs? Didn’t the military have 12M job openings once before in my life time? The Democrats filled those openings with the new employees and they were sent over seas to work. I can see it happening again. Want to fill the quotas, look what is coming into this country, draw from them, train them and lets see who will end up controlling them? Yeah, the draft is not popular, but if we still had it, our NG and Reserve Units would not be looking for recruits, they’d be over strength with lines of volunteers trying to get in. Base Pay for a RA Pvt. today is $1917.60. It sure beats the $71 a month I got in the early 60’s. With the draft, we who served, got to know our neighbors, as it took in everyone, which led to a bonding experience for all. It was a good thing, not something to run away and hide from. My time is almost over now, be interesting to see where we go from here, but I doubt I will.
