I am not aware that this is a “lawsuit” as you say.

I understood that this is a criminal trial, please correct me if I am wrong.

These trials are going nowhere. They are for the singular purpose of putting election fraud evidence in front of the public. Trump is not going to be convicted or go to jail.

Yes the ambulance chaser lawyers and bent judges will be hard presses to find loopholes in Stalin’s law books now.

Does the US Supreme Court function as an independent body that sees something going on and intervenes to rule on its legality or must it be petioned by party(s) with standing who seek redress of wrongful actions? Not a lawyer but I think the Supremes (court) need context to intervene and redress grievances.
Thoughts from all, please?

A certainty that Trump's counsel has, in the Request to Produce, included documents that were in Biden's garage -- next to the fugly safety-cone yellow Vette -- as part of the Zombie's "serial classified documents" hoarding stash, that somehow by magic he has escaped indictment.

At this point, watching Biden burn is as if Nixon had stayed in office and brought the whole thing down with him -- rightly or wrongly -- yet unlike Nixon, there is no one to tell Biden to end this.

In fact, if Biden himself shocked the shit out of the Derp State and even Dr. Jerkill, and ended this right now in the right manner with one. final. speech., he could quite possibly sew up all the neomarxist calumny dating back to Clinton's perjury and fast-forwarding through Obama's stoned age, and more critically, Pelosi's unforgivable assault on the Constitution, and do it in a speech for the ages, and pave Gruesome's path with gold.

It'll never happen.

Sometimes, one set of facts gives way to a civil lawsuit and a criminal prosecution.

************************************************************

You are not wrong but this litigation, though criminal by label, is devolving into a civil lawsuit which could take many years to litigate to a conclusion.

The US Supreme court has original jurisdiction in very few circumstances. Namely conflicts between states. Otherwise from how I understand, the issue must be tried and appealed by a lower court and then a writ of certiorari has to come through an appellant and then cited on to grant the writ by at least four justices to actually be heard by the nine wise souls.

Why they don’t or can’t step in is beyond me!

They apparently have the authority and seeing the injustices heaped on Trump, you would think that one of them in NY, Georgia or some of the other states districts would!?

So how is the Supreme Court’s intervention in Florida in the 2000 President Election ballot counting legal?

As I recall, George W. Bush’s legal team filed for relief as the aggrieved party, against selective and irregular hand recount methods, being done by Gore’s team only in counties favorable to them. The court agreed and further found there was no fair way to conduct such a process and stopped all of iut.

I recently had a very small accident in which damage to either car could not have exceeded $200.

USPS attempted to deliver a letter to me. I wasn’t home, but the tag had the the name of the law firm, so I called them. Got to the lawyer who was handling the case and she wanted the name of my insurance company. Told her I didn’t have to give it to her because I’d be handling the case myself. She claimed there were personal injuries but wouldn’t say what they were.

After asking for my insurance info, I told her to stop asking. I then told her it would take at least five years to get to trial, I know aa lot about doing discovery which would cost her firm at least $100k in expenses; money they could never recover. Also told her I was retired and needed another hobby.

As you know, these plaintiff’s attorneys are just looking to have my insurance company settle to make them just go away. I wasn’t having any of that nonsense.

I’d be shocked if I ever hear from them again.

........I’ve represented myself in many hearings over the past 50 years and never lost. Once, after ruling for me, one judge asked me how I wrote all the pleadings I wrote (as a non lawyer he meant). I chuckled and said...”Judge, I bought about 3 paperback books at the UT Law School Bookstore” and of course I know the facts better than the other guy! He laughed and said “good job”.

I sued a company with a thousand outlets nationwide last year. They had to settle because I had zero legal fees they had many thousands. 2 months after I sued them, they paid me many times my original claim.

Lawyers sold the legislatures nationwide that NOBODY but a member of their “bar” should be able to “practice” in their arena (courtrooms). So, for many decades they have had a monopoly. It’s a joke because the majority of lawyers couldn’t pour pee out of a boot with the instructions written on the heel. Many are lucky to even show up in the courtroom. The monopoly of lawyers needs to be broken. In any event, they’ve run their fees up so high (using their monopoly) that more and more people are catching on.

I have had and do have still 2 or 3 outstanding lawyers. But most are total frauds.

Not in Schumers pocket

I still remembered when he stood in front of the SCOTUS building and boldly THREATENED Kavenaugh and Amy Comey Bryant.

He should have been arrested.

Oh yeah that’s right, he’s part of the protected class.

#ArrestThemAll!

How about we trade him for all the J6 hostages in the DC Gulag!

Schumer DESERVES to be there or Gitmo!

The trials do them no good if Trump has already won the election when they occur.

I can see that the Federal trials can probably just be ended by Trump's AG firing Jack Smith and directing that the charges are dropped.

But the State cases will proceed and Trump can't pardon himself in them as POTUS. The State of Georgia might have Trump in prison by Jan. 2024!

at that point Trump as President could declare Georgia in insurrection against the United States, order the U.S. Army to seize the Georgia State House, and burn Atlanta to the ground.

All the while reminding the Dems: "I'm just doing the same thing Abraham Lincoln did."

The indictment states that Trump tried to illegally tamper with the election results in Nevada, Michigan, New Mexico, Pennsylvania, Georgia, Arizona and Wisconsin—all of which would have to supply huge reams of documents under the Trump disclosure request.

If Jack Smith indicted President Trump on all of these charges, then Trump absolutely has a right to the materials that are crucial to his defense of the charges.

This is what Smith gets by overloading the indictment with charges.

I once called in to Michael Berry’s show to make a comment about some lawsuit that was in the news, and what the law was, including a cite to a SCOTUS opinion.

He asked me if I was a lawyer. My response was, “That is my favorite question. No, I’m not a lawyer, but a person doesn’t need to be a lawyer to know the law about a particular legal matter.”

I was pleasantly surprised when he immediately told his audience that I was exactly right, and why.
