The jury concluded that Chauvin was guilty of murder not by strangling Floyd, but by refusing to let EMTs render medical assistance when he was in medical distress. I have never heard that claim before. My recollection is that the EMTs just took a long time to get there, and Chauvin was holding him down until they arrived.

I’m pretty sure that was exactly what some of the jurors came out and stated publicly after the trial ended.
