This piece is so confusing. I went to the article, but it does not explain just how the pedos can blackmail these girls into harming themselves.
They target girls who are on servers that reference mental illnesses and disorders. They then get the girls to send them pics. These pics can be anything from racy, seminude things to proof of existing instances of self-harm. The demands escalate and the girls go along with it. Eventually the exchange hits a level that can be used to blackmail the now-doxxed girls. Cutters are especially vulnerable since they’re already into self-harm; now they’re being given an excuse and a reason.
I think they chat them up & groom them. Convince them they’re a friend & then encourage them to do something “naughty” while filming them. Then they blackmail them. Parents need to keep their kids OFF of social media or at least watch them like hawks.
The article mentioned the abuse group telling a girl they knew her address and would show up at her house.
