Actually, they’re trying to get rid of ALL passenger cars. Forcing an untenable and costly electric/battery replacement for the ICE and then phasing out gasoline altogether are just the first steps.
It will start through zoning and permits. No new gas stations will be approved or the restrictions on them will be so cumbersome, no one will bother.
And they’re doing exactly that in some cities— zoning prohibitions on new or expanded gas stations. This, of course, an idea spawned in the deranged, infantile minds of EV driving libs who want others to suffer the same level of inconvenience they do.
