From Trump post:
Louisiana, there is a big and very important Election on Saturday for Attorney General, State Treasurer, and Secretary of State.
Our Republican Nominees, Liz Murrill for Attorney General, John Fleming for Treasurer, and Nancy Landry for Secretary of State, are outstanding in every way and have my Complete and Total Endorsement.
With my strong Endorsement, Jeff Landry made history by flipping the seat of Louisiana’s 2-term Democrat Governor without a runoff — Jeff will be a great Governor!
We need Republican Leadership in the Great State of Louisiana, so please Get Out and Vote Republican on Saturday!

I do not follow LA elections closely so I am assuming this is a runoff from the earlier election.
That being said, I find that elections NOT held at the same time as regular 2 and 4 year General Elections result in fewer people voting.
When fewer people vote in a Special Election it takes fewer people, who are well organized, to sway the results.
You don’t need to worry about these elections, the GOP will sweep all of them absent something extraordinary like a planet-sized meteor hitting the earth tomorrow.
These are not “special” elections, they are normal runoffs for Louisiana and the voters are well accustomed to them. Because of the lack of any real competition from the Democrats, who will probably get about 35%-40% at most, turnout may be low but that won’t affect the outcomes one iota.

That’s true, which is why I do a post the day before and the day of an election, so that at least all the FReepers that see it will show up to vote. One FReeper thanked me for the reminder the day Landry won the primary outright. So he might not have known otherwise. We do what we can.
And I also thank you for your postings on elections that otherwise would not come across my radar screens.
