All that work computer nerds did FOR FREE to build all these capabilities back in the 60s 70s etc. They did it for the benefit of mankind.
Then, giant corporations monetized it, now the government wants to nationalize it.
PTUI!
On the other hand, some poor soul got ten years for text trolling.
You are correct. Time to repeal the 17th Amendment and eliminate the senior executive service.
Not directly yet, but there are two pending cases they have taken on for the upcoming term.
But they have been whittling down the scope of Chevron for the past couple of years with rulings against agencies making up rules as they go along.
They will bring it all down soon I’m sure, then when it comes back up, it’ll be fully under their control.

With the latest SCOTUS rulings on “Chevron Deference,” the FCC will need to have an underlying statute passed by Congress, or else they’ll get slapped down in court.

Right after someone points to the underlying authority of Congress (Art/Sec/Cl). Let’s get to the ROOT, first, shall we (HINT: The quick/simple answer is: it doesn’t exist)?
One of my biggest wishes is for SCOTUS to severely limit the use of the Commerce Clause as an excuse for the Feds to regulate anything and everything.

The SAME SCOTUS that gave us “a single clause negates the whole of the rest of the Constitution”? The ones that have NEVER brought it up since, in ALL the cases that followed? THAT SCOTUS??
Even the Kenyan understood “doc of negative (govt) ‘rights’”
So an unelected board of a Federal organization without a concomitant Constitutional Article to give it authority... voted itself more authority.
Isn’t that... special.
Agencies like the FAA, FCC, FDA, etc... Have a place in our Country... But should be sold off and run as a private consortium like the IEEE or UL.
A non-binding, non-governmental agency that helps producers in the marketplace work together. Nothing more, nothing less.
Alternative communications devices will be required. Any ideas?

Funny, I thought that Congress was who defined the scope of FCC authority. Now I am educated that the bureaucrats decide their own limits of authority.
The Constitution, the feds ONLY valid source of authority, gives the feds NO power or right to create this regulatory state monster. NUKE IT!!!
The SAME SCOTUS that overturned Roe v. Wade.
The SAME SCOTUS that is in the process of greatly expanding our Second Amendment Rights.
The SAME SCOTUS that banned colleges from using race as a factor for admissions.
The SAME SCOTUS that struck down Biden's student loan forgiveness plan.
Yes, THAT SCOTUS.
