Trump up 4% over Biden, 48% over DeSantis: poll

The survey marks the latest in a string of polls showing Trump with a lead over his 2020 rival.

Former President Donald Trump has surged to a significant lead over President Joe Biden and has expanded on his already sizeable advantage in the Republican primary, according to a recent survey.

Trump earned 50% support in a head-to-head matchup with Biden, who took 46% support in a recent Fox News survey. His lead over Biden was marginally smaller than that of Florida GOP Gov. Ron DeSantis, who earned 50% to Biden's 45% in their own hypothetical matchup. Former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley earned 52% to Biden's 41%.

The survey marks the latest in a string of polls showing Trump with a lead over his 2020 rival, including a Quinnipiac survey also published on Wednesday showing the Republican with a 2% lead. Trump leads Biden by 1.3% overall in the RealClearPolitics polling average, which includes both the Fox and Quinnipiac surveys.

The Fox survey also showed good news for Trump on the primary front, with the ex-president earning 62% support among Republican primary voters, compared to nearest rival DeSantis, who took 14%. Haley earned 11% while entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy placed fourth with 7%.

The 48-point lead represents a modest uptick in Trump's advantage over DeSantis from the survey's October results, which showed Trump leading by 46%.

Conducted Nov. 10-13, the survey questioned 1,001 registered voters and has a margin of error of +/- 3%, including a 4.5% margin of error for Republican primary results.

Trump IS the nominee.

So-called Republicans who still seek the nomination are just working for the Democrats.

So-called Republican party leaders who set up debates for GOP candidates and who choose Leftist moderators for those debates are just working for the Democrats.

Americans don’t anoint a king. If Trump isn’t strong enough to win competitive primaries he isn’t going to beat a well funded Marxist Democrat in a general election.

President Trump has been beating the GOP POTUS competition for months.

That war has already been won by President Trump.

If you can't, or better yet, won't see that, is it that you, like DeSanctimonious are waiting for the Democrats to do your dirty work of removing President Trump from the competition with their fraudulent LawFare?

Trump is at 62%. DeSantis is at 14%.

This isn’t about anointing a king. This is about a failure to coalesce around the individual already chosen by the party base.

The internals are not easy to find. Several polls are noted in the article.

This unfortunate (and maybe purposeful) tendency to define partisan mixture of samples to be Dem or GOP, and they lump in Dem Leaning or GOP Leaning and this erases a measure of how many Independents were in the sample.

In general the mix was 667 GOP/Leaners and 656 Dem/Leaners. We don’t know the pure breakdown of Independents.

The slight Haley advantage vs Biden is pretty clearly meaningless. It’s just the 5-10% Never Trumpers in the party trying to influence things. When she disappears, about half of those people will return to Trump.

Further elevating his lead over Biden.

And don’t miss that DeSantis is evenly matched with Biden. So if, and when Trump drops out DeSantis is ready and viable alternative.

Anyone thinking President Trump is going to drop out after everything he has gone through is plainly insane.

Fox polls are notorious for underreporting Republican support.

Rarely do they show the GOP candidate leading.

Even if that were true, DeSanctimonious will never see the General Election.

4 % is not near enough to cover the Democrat vote fraud.

The latest Rasmussen Reports poll between President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump, 46% of Likely U.S. Voters would choose Biden and 42% would vote for Trump. Another nine percent (9%) say they’d vote for some other candidate, and three percent (3%) are undecided.” Rasmussen Reports, November 14, 2023.
