Yesterday at Wichita Ridge:
And we also had a foot long cheese Coney for supper yesteday and it was AWESOME.
How's everyone doing this morning?
We’re in level 4 out of 5 right now but level 5 appeared just east of here last week. I have a feeling that will be larger on this week’s map and include us.
Nothing brewing in the Caribbean or the Gulf will come here because the cold front coming through Friday will keep it away.
Sounds like another call to your kitty-sitter is in order. You need to know something in time to find someone else if necessary.
Howdy, E.G.C. ((HUGZ))
You’re up early. Did that foot-long cheese Coney come back to haunt you? LOL
Looks like Gizmo gave you a good workout yesterday.
I texted her earlier today, because she never answers her phone. I hope she’ll call before long. There’s no rushing her. She keeps her own time and it’s always, ALWAYS late. And there is no one else. Our friends either work full time...or are not healthy enough to come over here twice a day to feed cats and scoop litter. I think you know the drill. :)
You are in the perfect storm of no storms. It’s not good. We’ve been there. But we almost expect it here in the desert. You have so many trees and plants to lose...not to mention lakes drying out.
((LOL)) Well, it saved us 5 bucks. That was the difference between that and the chicken strips we’ve been having.
Thanks, luvie...they must be remembered and thanked.
Good morning, E...((HUGS)...looks like Gizmo did a lot of walking and rolling and had a great time A good time at Wichita Ridge.
And supper sounds wonderful!
You guys have a great Thursday.
Yes, and it’s up to all of us to see that it’s done! โค๏ธ
I am beat, so I’m going to bed.
My computer has been showing a pop up every 10 minutes or so for the last 2 hours. I suppose I should do what it says:
“Your system administrator is requesting that you restart your computer. Please save any unsaved work and then take this action to restart your computer.”
Oops...the message said to restart at 6:50p...3 hours ago. Maybe they are doing something that will speed things up. We all had problems all day and everyone had to rebooot.
I do hope today’s text wasn’t the first. Fingers crossed she’ll call tomorrow and will be available.
We’ve had droughts before though this one is really bad. I just hope it doesn’t go on too long. That’s happened before several years ago and it wasn’t fun at all. El Niรฑo years can suck.
They’ve started lowering the lakes and I hope they stop where they are now. They don’t need to go down to winter pool with it being so dry. TVA did that last time and the lakes never got back up to summer pool.
I hope it’s warm enough to be able to crack a window or two. LOL!
Oops! I hope it doesn’t mess things up restarting a bit late. And it sure will be nice if it eliminates the problems you had all day.
Get some good sleep tonight. Going to bed early will be a nice break from the routine.
I hope you’re able to make it to your massage appointment tomorrow. Missing it last week was the pits.
No, it was the 2nd. I texted her last week and she waffled about what she had planned. I don’t want to pester her. I know how stubborn she can be. LOL!
This hasn’t been our worst year, but it’s been close until this month. The worst was when we had zero rain for 12 months. That was a living nightmare. Then the next year we got 20 inches, which is a lot for us. The weather’s gonna do what the weather’s gonna do. And it does love a good roller coaster.
It WOULD be nice if she’d let you know something one way or the other. She knows you’ve made plans and the kids have made their plans accordingly.
This year wasn’t too bad until September, when the spigot shut off. We’d had less rain than last year but were doing ok. No telling when Mother Nature is going to turn the spigot back on but we all hope it’s soon.
You would have to crack a window to keep the house ventilated when you operate gas appliances. I usually keep the window open 2 inches and that’s it.๐
Well, l did tell her that I need to let them know something before the last minute. I’ll just have to see what happens.
I think I’ll head out. I didn’t get a nap today and I have a splitting headache. Just the light of the computer is hurting my eyes. See ya....Saturday. Gosh, your last weekend at the museum, and I hope it’s a good one! You’ll miss it so much.
I heat with LP gas but it’s a central unit. My windows stay closed during winter because I don’t want any cold in here. It needs to stay outside where it belongs. LOL I do have a carbon monoxide monitor.
I hope she comes through. And I hope you can meet someone more reliable one day soon who can kitty-sit occasionally. You don’t get to see the kids often and it would be a shame to miss out at the last minute.
Yeah, this is going to be a tough weekend, knowing it’s the last one for a few months. I’m reeeeeeeeally going to miss the museum.
Get a good long sleep tonight. I hope your headache is gone when you wake up. Catch ya Saturday.
