To say something like this she would need to believe that she is so loved and admired that people would do anything to stop her from moving away. Gosh...there’s a bit of ego.
In an unrelated bit of ego display, I recall reading several years ago that she had three fulltime female “political advisors.” Does even a full-time politician have a separate slate of “political advisors?” Oh, and that article also said she had several governors and white house people, including Bill Clinton, on speed dia. And they took her calls. I would imagine that’s because she was always good for a hundred thousand or so in contributions. I can’t think of any other reason anyone would spend even a minute listening to her.
In an unrelated note, I found her singing voice annoying. But I don’t know if that’s because I knew all about her politics.
