Most “snowbirds” I’ve know have told me they vote in both states where they live depending upon the weather. Absentee in one state and at the polls where they work in the other.
I have long thought that many snowbirds vote in 2 places every year. They have two different addresses, and can vary their name by putting their middle initial in one, and not in the other. It’s pretty clear that the first time a person gets caught voting illegally, they can say ….. oh, I didn’t understand. ….
This now applies to millions of non-citizen illegals.
People with a conscience and a proper set of moral values would not do this. That is why the overwhelming majority of those to do it vote Dem, the same party that is against cleaning up the voter rolls.
I don’t get why DeSantis is suggesting this, other than as a publicity stunt of some kind-every adult knows what “absentee voting” is-especially military vets-which many snowbirds in Florida, Texas, etc are-so this makes no sense to me...
There are cabins and RV parks here booked full with Snowbirds every Winter, a major source of seasonal income-my best friend’s sister is now a snowbird-he said she will be voting here-absentee-she arrived, as usual here in late Oct, ahead of any snow in Oregon-and I have a couple of snowbird neighbors-they do the same-not a liberal in the bunch...
