Massive Move of God in Nicaragua: 650,000 Attend, Thousands Choose Christ, Miracles Abound

Recently we have heard about God moving in college campuses, churches, and cities. Imagine evangelizing an entire country.

Two U.S. mission organizations are following the Holy Spirit to do just that in Nicaragua. CBN News learned more about this effort to reach hundreds of thousands of people with the Gospel.

A miraculous story is unfolding of Nicaraguans attending mass evangelism campaigns, and witnessing a mighty move of God in their country. Missionary Britt Hancock of the organization "Mountain Gateway" followed God's call to help lead these events, along with Evangelist Nathan Morris and Shake the Nations Ministries. [Excerpt]

Are they repenting of their sins and trusting Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior (with all that implies)? “Accepting Christ” means nothing in itself, it’s just the empty easy-believism that is leading so many down the road to Hell. The wording of the article inclines me to skepticism. I’ll be heading down to a couple adjoining countries in a few weeks so I’ll have to see what they are saying down there.

There will always be genuine fruit and some not in any move of God.

But the good news is that for those for whom it is genuine, they will share Christ with others and spread the gospel.

Amen to that. I point out that not all central and south americans are like those who cross our borders illegally for the freebies. Some are experiencing the desire of their souls in recieving the Savior, Jesus Christ. They love their countries. May they prosper and live lives filled with the promises which salvation in Christ gives. Hallelujah to our God and Savior Jesus Christ. May the Holy Spirit fill all who thirst for truth and seek righteousness.

Back in the 1960s and '70s when leftists ruled countries in Latin America, their movements focused on the plight of the poor and their economic conditions. In the 2000s, Latin America’s "pink tide" of leftist leaders, like Brazil’s Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, embraced progressive social movements.

But as the evangelical church began to grow in Latin America, a region that is deeply Roman Catholic, leftist leaders began scrapping progressive values and embracing “family values,” along with leftist economic policies. However, as Lot chose Sodom, and Essau swapped the spiritual for the spiritual, so it is much the norm for most all of us in the US to some degree eat of the king of Babylon's dainties, and most of those from the Central and South America vote for the hand that provides for them at the expense of others., and will tell you themselves that they less spiritual and family values here. As shown below, even from 2012 and 2014, the longer they stay here, the more overall lib they become. Affluence is the test most of us fail, to varying degrees, if adversity and affliction do not do it.

Prayer For Heart Revival

Heavenly Father, pour out Your Holy Spirit like a mighty flood into the hearts of all Your people, those who are called by Your name. May our hearts be washed by the water of the Word and may the purifying light of the Holy Spirit cleanse the thoughts, wash the hearts and purify the minds of those who are part of the church, which is Your Body.

Lord, we pray that You would purify the hearts and minds of all Your people so that our thoughts are ever turned toward the Lord Jesus. May we as individual members and also as a body of believers, learn to seek Your will in our lives, so that our prayers are filtered through the light of Your will, so that they are tuned into Your perfect plans and purposes. May the desire of all believers be to lift up Your name so that You are honoured in the fellowships and local churches in His rightful position as Head, and may the Lord Jesus remain the central focus of the intent of our hearts

Lord, we pray that You would revive the hearts of all believers and especially those who have left their first love, become involved in a distorted gospel, fallen into legalism or become lukewarm toward You. Draw each one back into a right relationship with You and with each other. Revive Your people we pray, and turn the hearts of all Your people back to Yourself. In Jesus’ name,
