Oh I think burning the American flag is considered free speech. However, if you make fun of Hillary with an election meme you go to prison.

No, burning an American flag is ‘free speech’. Burning a rainbow, or BLM flag is a hate crime. Burning a ‘Palestine flag’ in incitement to riot.

No, it’s not. It is a protected form of free speech. HOWEVER, if the flag is not the desecrator’s own, or he or she has not been given permission by its owner, he or she could be charged with vandalism.

IMO, the court misused its purpose when it held burning the U.S. flag in protest was legal.

The flag should be routinely regarded as a mobile U.S. government structure, all of which are (we believe) owned by U.S. citizens. In other areas, the 1A right of speech may be subject to limitations if they incite violence. A flag-burning associated with physical violence or property damage IMO should qualify.

No, pretty sure it’s protected “speech”.

"I thought it was illegal to burn the American flag’ If so, throw them in jail."

I believe that only used to apply on private property. The authorities don't enforce that anymore by direction of the Commie District Attorneys, Mayors, and Police that have over-whelmed our cities and towns.

Nope, free speech, according to USSC.

But if you burn a homo, blm, pali or mexican flag I guarantee you'll go to jail.

Won't be long before they arrest patriotic Americans for waving Old Glory at one of these events.

In London, they are arresting patriotic Brits for waving the Union Jack.

“I thought it was illegal to burn the American flag”

No, but it’s illegal to destroy other people’s property.

It used to be illegal. Years ago there was a guy destroying the flag in front of the Plaza Hotel in NYC shortly after the law was changed. Everyone was walking by without saying anything.

Yeah it is illegal and I think the perfect way to execute sentence would have been to have blasted that POS off the pole with a 308.
