The goods produced elsewhere can not be captively produced by manufacturers in America or they would be.

Before 1980 the USA was almost self sufficient in all things manufactured. What happened? Gobalist Free Traitors™ took over. No tariffs killed our industry, small city by small city ruined. Even large cities were ruined too. And now? We are becoming the world's bitch. Thanks Free Traitors&trede; Satan awaits you.

The takeover of the labor unions by organized crime had a lot to do with it as well.

—— What happened? -—

In my previous post there was a typo. spell check inserted the word captively in place of the intended word captively

World War II was over is what happened. Recovery over a period of two decades or so allowed other countries to recover to the point where they could sell products on the world markets. We in America had a tremendous advantage for twenty or so years because we had manufacturing capability that was destroyed elsewhere.

You like to whine about globalists and patriots. Throwing around the Globalist Boogieman is a tawdry and ineffective gambit.

It is said that patriotism is the last refuge of a scoundrel.

Although America has been a nation of world traders since before the beginning, we have always been plagued with isolationists who lacked the vision to see that money could be made selling American products around the world.

You always carp on about tariffs. The fact is, Americans don’t want tariffs, or we would have them. Americans veto your carping by rejecting tariffs.
