Pentagon Lays Out 4 Military Objectives For Middle East Amid Force Build-Up

A Department of Defense spokesman explained Washington’s current goals in the Middle East. Since Israel launched a massive military operation in Gaza, the US has deployed thousands of troops and a large host of naval ships to the region.

According to a press release outlining Gen. Pat Ryder’s statement, the Pentagon’s four priorities for the Middle East currently are:

  1. “Protection of US forces and citizens in the region.”

  2. “Flow of critical security assistance to Israel as it defends against further Hamas terrorist attacks.”

  3. “Coordination with the Israelis to help secure the release of hostages held by Hamas, to include American citizens.”

  4. “Strengthening of force posture across the region to deter any state or nonstate actors from escalating the crisis beyond Gaza.”

On October 7, Hamas launched an attack in southern Israel that killed over 1,000 people. Israel responded with a massive bombing campaign that killed 10,000 civilians, including 4,000 children, in the past month.

President Joe Biden has traveled to Israel, and the White House has offered full-throated support for Tel Aviv’s military operation in Gaza. While American officials have admitted that the Israeli operations have killed many thousands of civilians, the White House refused to call for a cease-fire or condition American weapons transfers to Israel on reducing civilian casualties.

US forces in the region have come under attacks from local military groups that view Washington’s support for Tel Aviv as crucial to Israel’s military operations in Gaza. Over the past month, various groups have conducted 38 attacks on American soldiers, injuring at least 45 troops.

In response to the attacks on US soldiers, the Pentagon has deployed more military assets to the region, including thousands of troops, two aircraft carrier strike groups, and a nuclear-powered submarine.

Additionally, on Wednesday, US Central Command announced it had conducted two show of force operations with B1-B Lancer bombers in three days. “For the second time in three days, a US B-1 Lancer conducted a mission over the Middle East area of responsibility. US F-16s escorted the bomber,” CENTCOM posted on X.

The leader of Hezbollah, Hassan Nasrallah, threatened to attack the American ships in the region if a more expansive war broke out. “Since the outbreak of the war, the US has threatened to bomb us in Lebanon from its military ships in the Mediterranean. We are prepared for whatever scenario,” he said in a speech last week. “If an all-out war breaks out, you Americans will pay with your ships, your aircraft, and your soldiers.”

While the Biden administration has sought to secure the release of American citizens who are held hostage by Hamas in Gaza, Tel Aviv has rejected pauses in the fighting to facilitate prisoner swap negotiations.

After you are done meditating, why don’t you look up Gal Gadot and ask her to show you the Hamas cruelty and torture films.

Maybe then you will finally understand.

I think his point is when you look at the official statistics…a single infant was among the Israeli dead.

Kind of hard to have 40 beheaded infants…and only have one dead.

Really?

When news journalists were taken in to seesome of the massacre in the houses? When Israeli soldiers reported on what they’d seen in those same houses? Did that just not happen?

And, for the record, I don’t believe the ‘official’ stats being quoted here. I’ve been tracking the news stories since Oct 7. A lot more Ham Ass dead in the news stories than is tallied in that statistic.

NEW YORK POST-
Hamas terrorists slaughtered at least 40 babies and young children — decapitating some of them — at a kibbutz near the Gaza border, shaken Israeli officials and reporters at the scene said Tuesday.

“It’s hard to even explain exactly just the mass casualties that happened right here,” visibly distraught i24 News correspondent Nicole Zedek said during a broadcast from Kibbutz Kfar Aza near Sderot about a quarter-mile from the Gaza Strip.

“Babies with their heads cut off, that’s what [the soldiers] said. Gunned down. Families gunned down, completely gunned down in their beds,” Zedek said of the “sheer horror.

“This is nothing that anyone would have even imagined,” she said.

Top CNN reporter Nic Robertson, dressed in a military helmet and flak jacket, said, “There were so many murdered members of this Kibbutz.

“Men, women, children, hands bound, shot, executed, heads cut,” he said.

French journalist Margot Haddad added in a translated tweet, “It’s so macabre that no one wanted to reveal it until they had 100 percent confirmation.

The Israeli government stated that one infant, under 1 year old, was among the casualties.

I believe them over The NY Times.

“The Israeli government stated that one infant, under 1 year old, was among the casualties.”
—————-
Utter BS. My nephew personally recovered 40 bodies, and among them were several infants. That was a SMALL percentage of those who were murdered. WHEN was that “Israeli government statement” made? Provide a link. Because if it was the first or second day, the absurdly low number you quote woukd have been due to efforts to absolutely confirm the information.

‘It’s The Border, Stupid!’ – Voters Rank U.S. Security Higher than All Foreign Conflicts

Polling shows American voters value border security far more highly than the Ukrainian or even the Israeli war effort, with almost 70 percent of respondents to a Morning Consult survey saying they approve of more funding for the U.S.-Mexico border.

Sixty-eight percent of respondents backed more money for border protection, compared to 61 percent who backed aid for Israel and 58 percent who backed aid for Ukraine.

In terms of voters’ top issues going into the 2024 election, only the economy ranked higher than border security, ranking number one for three times as many people as the Israel-Hamas war.

The Biden regime has this exactly backwards, however, and is currently pushing Congress to approve a funding package worth well in excess of $100 billion that would give over $60 billion to Ukraine, over $14.3 billion to Israel, and just $13.6 billion to the border – and this would funding to provide accommodation and services to migrants, not deterrent measures.

Morning Consult found Donald Trump is more trusted than Joe Biden to handle the Israel-Hamas War, the Russia-Ukraine War, U.S.-China relations, and especially immigration.
