Former Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) sharply criticized Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.) in a Thursday interview, saying the Republican Party would benefit “tremendously” if Gaetz were not around.
“Tremendously,” McCarthy told CNN’s Manu Raju in an exclusive interview, when asked how much the GOP would benefit if the Florida congressman weren’t around.
“People have to earn the right to be here,” McCarthy continued. “I mean, he’ll admit to you personally, he doesn’t have a conservative bent in his philosophy. And just the nature of what he focuses on.”

His fundraising empire just took a 70% clippimg and his best friend Ronda just got called out for hiring NBC to do republican debates.
The old school is shrinking just as their power is about to return. Very weird days.

I think the GOP has benefitted quite nicely from having Gaetz around. He got rid of RINO Speaker McCarthy didn’t he. Then McCarthy has a gall to lecture on what conservatism is and do it on communist CNN no less.

In the old days, folks like Kinzinger, McCaskill, Paul Ryan, Liz Cheney would just go and live their lives after a dfeat (or retirement before certain defeat).
Now they earn a new living attacking those who vanquished them. It is so tiresome.

Gaetz was the one who wanted tried to NOT fund the FBI building legislation that was passed the other day. I watched a video clip where he speaks in the House about not funding because of their many shady and corrupt activities.
Then the POS republican "rep" FROM ARKANSAS stands up with a smarmy, slimy smile and says that the FBI building needs to be funded. He tried to just dismiss all the issues that republican voters are unhappy about with the FBI.

Gaetz is my congressman, I voted for him. I’ve benefitted tremendously from that vote by his spearheading the ouster of McCarthy.
